It's no longer Scottish Independence Bampotless Tuesday.

So here is a bampot.

It's really difficult to avoid thinking conspiracy theories about Mel and the accounts agreeing with her.

But let's come from the pov that she believes this shite. I'm not totally familiar

with Mel's history. I do remember engaging with her when I ran the SSP social media between late 2011- mid 2015. She was always a bit hyped up about things. Took weird angles. I took it to be that she was a recent Scot and had not lived in Scotland, or North of Watford, during

the Thatcher/Major Tory decimation of the North of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, or the total neglect of the Labour Party during their almost total control of our councils and the early days of the Scottish Parliament. She never experienced the poverty and

utter grim desolation of Sighthill, The Falls, Shankill, Leith, Manchester, Wigan, Londonderry, Cardiff, Newport, Irvine, Ardrossan or Wick.

Besides that, her attacks on the Scottish Government, @thesnp and @scottishgreens are odd, but mirror the odd assortment of bloggers who

built up cult followings following 18Sept '14.

Without being conspiratol, Mel has followed the curve of the odd wrong turns that ego and the need to create following /the need to be somebody that comes with the strange messianic complex many of these people seem to have. The

need to make more and more outrageous claims about our woman First Minister and the more and more fantastical claims about their intentions etc.

To be conspiratol, the odd thing about all of these people is that they seem to be moving people closer and closer to saying, "I

can't live in an independent Scotland, without my pure messianic representation being in control. And more and more if their following seem to be saying "we'll vote yoon next time because the snp are yoon..."

Isn't that odd?

Of course they'll say it's because the snp haven't

installed genital detectors in toilets, or jails or changing rooms... or that the snp haven't stormed the... eh, the... sorry, not sure where they are to storm... let Mel etc explain that.

But do you see what I'm saying? Mel, Wings, Jeggit, Barrhead Spanish boy, etc etc really

seem to be totally limited from the Scottish experience of the past 40 or so years. One in which anyone with any sense can see the imperfections in the present political settlement, but can also see how the SNP are mitigating as much as they can of awful Tory destruction and

Labour neglect of the past good few decades.

And these people want to suggest you vote Unionist. They actually have been, for a while now, suggesting we vote for the very parties that took our jobs and wealth and resources and snorted it and drank it and pissed it up the

shiny walls of the City of London. They are suggesting we vote for the oppressor or at least the parties who did little to mitigate the excesses of Thatcherite "unionism."

As someone brought up in Northern Ireland and has spent the past 30 years in the Central belt of

Scotland, these cultist messianic prices can fuck off and we'll do the lifting. We'll support the Government as it mitigates the worst excesses of the petite fascists in power, and the hand of friendship to the Tories Starmer is turning out to be (and the Tory enablers, the

Lib Dems, who enabled austerity, brexiting and now Thatcherite in jackboots in number10).

If these people are going to promote "vote yoon to get indy," they can get the fuck out of the movement.
