A gentleman & his lady several years after returning home to England from The Colonies, invited an old domestic to their stately home.
The elderly chap who had since evidently moved up in life, drove a spanking new car with the wheels crunching on the winding gravel driveway.
Overlooking their own new fortunes they said
~You have done well for yourself ~ with a smile not quite reaching their eyes.
~ Come! Come in!~
Invited the lady offering him tea but looking on in some trepidation as the guest held the wafer fine cup in his big hands.
Meanwhile the gentleman stayed out for only a minute longer to key the shining car.
It had been a while since he had his eye on this model.
To think the domestic had had the temerity to come & visit them flaunting it.
So no, he didn’t feel the least guilty as he ran the key
ripping the paintwork across the body of the machine.
This is what happens when you don’t remember your place~ he justified his white rage. #COVISHIELD

Perhaps insensitive & unpopular opinion at this time but ….. #Afganistan
In the early 80's Defence Colony & Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi were localities that found favour with Afghan refugees.
Within few months in our fairly relaxed locality there were disturbing changes to our way of life.
From walking alone without a second thought to Defence Colony Market a popular place with eateries, bakeries & other stores we began to go in two’s or more
as the young men who began hanging around streets in groups seemed unaccustomed to seeing unchaperoned girls/women.
~Art, culture, history taught & spoken are soothing balms for wretched souls savaged by violence.
Our leaders, historians & thinkers in their wisdom never utilized these means to assuage a new country and it’s trauma~
~The unforgivable tragedy is that we were deprived of National Therapy, a collective conversation to reveal, speak, discover others equally wounded and above all question~
However, it is the political agency of Hindus & Hinduism that is threatened everyday & is eaten away before our eyes.
Till there is a concerted effort & focus on fighting this threat by the State itself, there is no doubt we will be neutered & our voice, no longer count.
Compelling us into silence when it comes to crime. Forcing us indoors to practise our traditions & forms of worship ‘discreetly & quietly’ lest it ‘disturb’ those who pushed, shoved & got their way.
I do not have a problem if there is one person or ten behind @BharadwajSpeaks
Neither do I not have a problem if this handle ‘merely’ collates information….
If only some of our ‘eminent scholars’ had done as much…
From time to time former govt servants with their own version of historical facts, unaccustomed to being countered have exposed a chilling nastiness …. only to reveal their own rank inability to debate & engage.
Now this latest episode where an ex Governor thinks nothing of threatening a handle with consequences for his latest thread is not only shocking but tells us how deep is the sense of entitlement & brute power.
India experienced terrorism much before other countries even awoke to it. The cowardice in perpetuating violence by the indoctrinated on an unsuspecting populace cannot be condemned enough.
We know too well that a country living under the shadow of terror finds inadvertently every sphere of its life effected by it.
Simple things like going to the cinema, travelling on public transport, shopping in bursting markets before festivities or even paying obeisance at a
