Why you mustn’t feel bad about UK’s Covid racism against India. You should, in fact have a nice laugh about it - a thread.

I am even proposing a nice hashtag for them - #TechnicallyChallengedBrits

So the UK still living in the Great Britain Utopia has no idea what technology really is. First they couldn’t control coronavirus. Yes, despite being an Indian, I can say this with absolute confidence. UK registered 2022 deaths per million, for India the numbers were around 1366.

And that happened despite UK boasting of world class hospitals and great living conditions. India, despite a very high population density, managed to keep mortality rate very low.

Leftist journalists were running a cleverly orchestrated anti-Indian vaccine campaign possibly at the behest of global Big Pharma.

In the first phase of the campaign, they excessively criticised the vaccines. Narrative about general efficacy, and side effects were pushed.

The second phase of the campaign focused on a possible shortage of vaccines even after Indian government repeatedly told that there is absolutely no shortage of it. India’s decision to give vaccines to other countries was severely criticised too.

Third phase of the campaign was about the efficiency of the government itself.

Will India be able to vaccinate its massive population?

Does India have the infra to conduct such a large scale vaccination drive?

These were the questions that were thrown incessantly.

“The Mugal were champions of economy and they built a India theory demystified” - A thread

Numerically challenged, statistically unhinged and data noob liberals quote data to prove that Mughals were some sort of economic geniuses who led India to its most prosperous years.

According to data compiled by economic historian Angus Maddison:

“…as recently as 1700, Qing China and Mughal India each represented a little less than 25 per cent of world GDP”,

Liberal elites in media and academia latched on to it. This soon became the dominant narrative.

25% is a huge deal but this is what we can call a classic example of half truth.

So did Maddison lie? No she didn’t.
But she did hide (or overlooked) the data prior to the period she mentions. Hers was not the most detailed study.

Social Media, Barack Obama and how it boomeranged (A thread)

First a little history:

It was Orkut that gave us our first social media experience. Some of us were even on High5 and MySpace. MySpace was the first social media site to reach a million monthly active users.

But by 2007 it was pretty much over. Come 2008, and Facebook had officially defeated it.

2008 was a tumultuous year. The financial Capital of India was under siege. The global economic system had collapsed. And the USA had its first black president - Barack Obama.

It was in this year that Facebook truly became a force to reckon with. MySpace was being embalmed for burial.

Barack Obama a hitherto unknown American politician suddenly became the top democratic nominee and went on to win the US Presidential election with a handsome margin.
