So, although disease is improving in the South, there is a surge well under way in the North.
Here is Maine...Vermont...and New York.
Note that ME and VT (like FL, TX) have positive cases at higher rate than last year.
New York is at a lower rate, but has a surge starting.

Deaths in all three states are low so far. Hopefully this is sustained, as all three have among the highest vax rates in the country.
For example see CT. They are still having low disease rates...surge hasn't hit them. Is it timing, or is it because of vaccination rates?

Ohio is mid range in vax rates...has experienced a surge. And deaths are increasing still.
Michigan is in the early stages of a surge. But a much slower trend. The vaccination rates aren't much different than Ohio...so natural immunity?
In the end, I think if anyone tells you they know how this is all going to play out, they are lying to it.
