More from the mouths of teachers at #UAlberta under #COVID19AB and the failures of #Kenney and the UCP. Feel free to add your own.
"I asked my students online yesterday for a bit of a report on campus from their POV. 1/4
They said, rapid testing is a gong show (hard to get in, too many people); unclear what the rules are or whom to ask about them; thousands of students on campus and really no precautions at all apart from some masks. One said, 2/4
the systems for the unvaxxed are so hard to comply with and enforcement nonexistent that it's hard to believe that unvaxxed students aren't just shrugging and showing up anyway. Another student is recovering from COVID and hence won't meet the vax deadline for valid reasons & 3/4
is palpably furious about PHRT not helping AT ALL. Another with an autoimmune disease who feels completely abandoned. Also assumptions that professors are responsible for offering online and in-person learning modes and "accommodating" whatever they need.
From the mouths of teachers at #UAlberta under #COVID19AB. Quote RT to add your own:
"I saw 14 people not masking yesterday on my way to a meeting. 14. I couldn't throw out my garbage because there were 3 unmasked students beside it."
"I went through Humanities Centre yesterday yelling "mask" but the unmasked can't hear me cuz they have earbuds in, doing their online classes in the hallway." Unmasked while doing so, obviously.
"We are so screwed. Abandoned .... There are no adults on duty."
ie) administrators @BFlanaganUofA and central admin all working from home and have no idea what's going on in classes and hallways.
