That money is used to fund the education of kids. In 2021, 43 kids have been helped with 18.9L
1. Lenovo Yoga

I use all Apple products, except a laptop. Simply because my hands are not set using Excel on Windows.

And I LOVE my Yoga laptop

2. Apple iPhone XR

I have been using an iPhone for 7+ years now. But never the latest model. Always n-3 :))

amzn.to/3Fi94t9
3. Apple iPad 8th Gen

amzn.to/3B5Pf5O
4. Logitech Keypad for the iPad

Matched with this keypad, my iPad is now a fully functional laptop. Super lightweight and sleek.

amzn.to/3inguB8
5. Apple Pencil 2nd Generation

This pencil has changed my life. I love writing and always carry a notebook. The pencil allowed me to digitize my notes. There has been no turning back since then!

amzn.to/3mdP16n
6. HP Slim Mini Desktop

My primary desktop is this powerhouse of a machine. I am not into gaming, so this more than suffices for my needs.

amzn.to/3zWkVco
7. HP M27F Monitor

I love the clarity of this display. Such a joy reading and browsing on this :)

amzn.to/3B2ZsQf
8. HP Deskjet 4178

I don't print too often, so am ok with a deskjet instead of laser printer. The wifi feature is the best one for me.

amzn.to/3uv09zx
9. Sony a7III

This is my primary camera, through which I shoot all my videos. Incredible machine!!!

amzn.to/3D4GI3E

This is my primary microphone for my Youtube videos.

amzn.to/3D6bsRN

Fill Light 60W: amzn.to/2Wrx1MK
Key Light 150W: amzn.to/2Y4Rnfg
13. LG 50 inches 4K Smart TV

This is what we use at home to watch movies over the weekends. Its a tragedy that we only use it for 2-3 hours per week, considering it is such an awesome gadget!

amzn.to/2Y8DwV6
14. NutriBullet SmoothieMaker

We bought this mid last year for our breakfast smoothies and ABSOLUTELY LOVE it! One of the best kitchen investments we have made.

amzn.to/3A4x13i
15. Kuvings B1700 Slow Juicer

This is a cold-press slow juicer, which retains the nutrients and does a phenomenal job of juicing fruits and vegetables alike.

amzn.to/39Xk7JH
16. Kindle 10th Generation

I read all my books first on the Kindle and then buy a paperback if I love the book.

The Kindle is one of my favorite devices of all times!

amzn.to/3urT16X
17. Elgato CamLink 4K

This incredible device converts my DSLR into a webcam, making me the coolest dude on Zoom calls :))

amzn.to/39TO3Gx
18. Benro IT15 Tripod

Not sure if this qualifies as a gadget, this is my primary tripod for the Sony a7III and is one of the best I have worked with!

amzn.to/2Y2d7sc
and last, but NOT the least,

19. HIT Anti-mosquito racquet

Hahah! This gadget is addictive, provided you love racquet sports, have a fly/mosquito problem and are cold blooded to see them die through a high-voltage current (I am a horrible person!)

I hope this gave you a glimpse into how I use technology to smoothen my life, thus creating more time to focus on things that I am good at!

And hopefully, it gave you ideas for some of your festive purchases this year :)
Reminder, if you buy anything from Amazon (not just these products), by clicking on the links above, I earn an affiliate revenue.

100% of that money is used to sponsor the higher education of kids who cannot afford to do so on their own.
ALL OF YOU have helped sponsor the higher education of 43 kids so far in 2021, worth 19.2L

Of this 9.6L was through Amazon affiliate income (100% of the revenue so far in 2021)

12 career lessons I have learnt along the way.

A thread…
1. “If I can’t trust you, it does not matter how smart you are.”

The words of my first manager have stayed me forever.

Trust is everything.
Once I was able to generate trust for myself in others, I began to see opportunities that weren’t visible until now.
2. Curiosity drives learning

Be curious.
I ask questions.
I try to figure out why things happen the way they do.
I spent time getting to know my customers, my colleagues.

Approach things with child like curiosity.
If you do, you will have a clearer reason for why you do things

I was lost at 24.

A thread…
“You have a degree in physics. You are now thinking of dropping out. No one will ever hire you. Don’t do this”

These were the words of a friend, a friend who meant well, in Sep 2003.

I had called him because he had changed careers after physics.
And I thought he’d understand.
For the longest time I know, I wanted to become a space scientist.

And here I was, at the age of 22, in the US, enrolled in a PhD program, on a 100% scholarship.

This is what I had preparing for my entire life.

15 audio books, if you do not like reading.

A thread...
1. 12 Rules for life

Narrated by the author @jordanbpeterson, this phenomenally simple yet powerful book will challenge a lot of your beliefs.

2. Can't Hurt Me

@davidgoggins is not just a masterful author, he is an exceptional narrator too.

His hitting life experiences hit me, made me realize my privileges and left me with the biggest lesson - no one can hurt me, if I don't agree to be hurt!

5 principles we lived by, in my previous startup
1. Hiring Principle

Attitude >> Experience >> Education

We designed our hiring process to check for culture fitment, attitude, curiosity.
Which meant looking at the resume much later. Instead starting with understand the person.
2. Leading Principle

Every manager needs to have a 1:1 with their team member, at least once a month.

And the question of whether a 1:1 did happen, will be answered by the team member and not the manager.

If they felt it was more of a review and less of a 1:1, there was no 1:1

20 small things that make me happy.

A thread...
1. Waking up early morning and before anything else, sipping a glass of water, for 15 minutes.

2. Picking up the clothes to wear for our daughter.
She calls it "kapde choose".
And its a thing.
3. Reading the newspaper.
We do not have a TV at home and I do not track any news.
So all news is delivered a day late to me.

4. Chole Bhature and Meethi Lassi
Nothing to be added here. Just felt!

41 observations about life, in the week I turned 41.

A thread...
1.
It is easy to respect people from a distance.
True respect is when you get to know them, and still respect them.

2.
People assume that a verified Twitter profile is someone smart. Ironically, the blue tick says, "this person is EXACTLY who they claim they are"
3.
Your guides, your mentors, your managers are not there to fix your mistakes.
They are there to guide you, so that you are eventually able to see your own mistakes.

4.
Not every problem needs to be solved.
Some need to just be heard.
Just be felt.
Just be empathized with.
