#MadrasHighCourt disposes of AIADMK plea to ensure purity of local body elections after recording various measures proposed by State incl CCTV inside & near strongrooms, divulging location of strongrooms to political parties, appointment of observers in every Block etc.
"It is hoped that the elections for local bodies are conducted in the same spirit as this matter has been addressed in Court. All govt functionaries must ensure free and fair conduct of polls so that there is no element of grievance or complaint", Court adds.
