Dear my English-speaking brothers and sisters. Hi, I am Kanata Yanagino, a novelist. He is also the original author of "Saihate no paladin(faraway paladin)", an anime that starts this month. #dnd5e#faraway_paladin
My work is strongly influenced by tabletop RPGs. If I may use a recent great work as an example, it's something like "Goblin Slayer". #dnd5e#faraway_paladin
Now, I should probably start tweeting about the anime or novel I'm promoting. I should start tweeting about how fascinating, wonderful, and worthy of your viewing it is, or something.
But I'd rather bow and plead with my English-speaking friends, brothers and sisters who love tabletop games. This is more important than the once-in-a-lifetime broadcast of my own work. Here it is.
In recent years, the appeal of tabletop RPGs has finally begun to spread widely in Japan. Just then, the publication of the #dnd5e in Japanese was halted. We don't know anything about the future of the game. Japanese users are confused and anxious.
There is also a signature campaign by volunteers to make sure that Japanese users are not left out.
My English-speaking brothers and sisters, my friends who love the same hobby, to those who may one day sit around the same table and laugh at the same things, I ask you. Is there any way we can inform the appropriate department at WotC about the existence of this petition?
Just before the anime broadcast of a story you wrote, the publication of your favorite tabletop RPG is interrupted. If it were you, which would you mention? I'd take the tabletop RPG, and I don't regret it.
I love #dnd5e and would like to see it continue to be published in Japanese. To my brothers and sisters in the English-speaking world, to my friends who also love #dnd5e, I ask you. Someone please take the requests of the Japanese users to WotC.
Thank you for reading. From Japan, with love. 「Wizards of the Coast LLC: Do not let D&D 5e fade out in Japan!」 chng.it/Zh9T9T6C
There were a few translation errors, so I erased some tweets and reposted them. I'm not very good at English, otherwise I wouldn't be wishing so hard for a Japanese version to be published, haha. 😅
One last thing. I was fussed about that first bugbear in "Lost Mine of Phandelver". In "Descent into Avernus", I confronted Zariel after The event of that sword.
In "Tomb of Annihilation", I was the dungeon master, and I had my party assaulted by that zombie-spitting Tyrannosaurus. I am sure we can all relive the same scenario. If you know this, you are my friend.
Supplement. We understand that there are licensing issues and other circumstances. However, "put it on ice and throw it out with one word: undecided", Japanese users will lose faith in #DnD itself. We want an explanation of the future, even if it's vague.
