Thus Team 5561BCE has changed the basic reference in the Mahabharata text. It’s not misinterpretation, they have actually changed the textual reference!

As astronomers know, a waning phase Moon MUST rise at night.
Here, Drona 161-1 shows that time from Moonrise to sunrise is known as 3/15ths of the night, then the 14th war night Moon CANNOT be a full Moon. It’s late waning phase only, rising around 4/15ths of the night remaining.

What about a dust storm?
The direction of the Moonrise comes in handy-East
Team 5561BCE claims that a dust storm hides an earlier Moonrise.. BUT they forgot that Moon also moves in 8-10 hours from any possible Moonrise… it’s moved to the West! 😂😂

The chapter of Drona Parva 159 and 161:1-2 from the Critical Edition have basically made sure that Team 5561BCE didn’t succeed in the attempt to fudge the Moonphases!
(A reminder that this is Indian history and not a joke that is being played out here on Twitter)

Question arises, when the Moonphases of the 14th war night of Ghatotkacha’s killing are clearly the late waning phase, which Moonphases are being quoted by Shri Oak in support of his theory?
You will be shocked to know that these are Analogies (Upamanas) not Observations! Yup!

Another way of looking at this Moonrise is to check the time distance between the Moonrise and the following Sunrise:
