Korean Air CEO Walter Cho and Delta CEO Ed Bastian at the #IATAAGM
"We have not made a decision on that," says Delta CEO Bastian when asked about implementing the White House's executive order mandating vaccines.
For Korean Air, Cho says most Koreans want to get vaccinated, and he expects the country to reach full vaccination rates soon.

“As a company, we don’t have to mandate because most employees will get vaccinated voluntarily.”
Bastian added that he expects more than 90% of Delta staff to be vaccinated by December under the airline's current $200 monthly surcharge scheme. #IATAAGM
Delta has no plans to invest in the new Italian carrier ITA, but the airline is in "conversations" with the carrier on a partnership, says CEO Bastian. #IATAAGM
Delta CEO Bastian sees domestic U.S. demand to surpass 2019 levels by Summer 2022.

That said, he sees international growth as the airline's future. $IATAAGM
Korean Air CEO Cho says streamlining the combined fleet with Asiana will be a "priority" once the deal closes.

He declines to elaborate noting that whatever he says will "upset the manufacturers."

But Cho calls the combined fleet "complicated."

"Before the rebanking, the average person in Denver had 43 flights they could connect to, now it's over 50. That drives more demand," says Ireland.
