Going through the list of the DOT's Small Community Air Service Development (SCASD) winners for 2018. Begin thread :)
Farmington, NM, #FMN won a grant to support new service to either DEN, LAX, PHX or SLC opb SkyWest Airlines.

The market was historically connected to both #DEN and #PHX into the 2000s. AWA service in 2002: airlinemaps.tumblr.com/post/142685242…
La Crosse, WI, #LSE received a grant to add service to an "eastern hub" with backing by SkyWest. Primary target is restoring Delta service to #DTW.
Sioux City, IA, #SUX received a grant to back potential new SkyWest/United service to DEN.

United used to serve SUX at least one-stop from DEN in the 1990s: airlinemaps.tumblr.com/post/167047951…
Lincoln, NB, #LNK received a grant to support potential service on AA to DFW. Application was backed by AA.
Bakersfield, CA, #BFL received a grant for new American service to DFW. Application was backed by AA.

Tulsa, OK, #TUL received a grant for possible new service on Alaska to #SEA. Alaska backs the application, saying it could serve the market with an E175.
Rapid Ciity, SD, #RAP received a grant to support possible new American service to PHX. AA backs the grant, saying market would complement existing ORD and DFW service.
