This is my thread for family friendly Halloween films we watched last year. I am gonna do a new one this year, but there may be skips or overlaps, this year will have new ones…
This year we started with The Addams Family animated film (on Sept 30)
Then on Oct 1 we did the new The Addams Family 2
Last night we watched Nightbooks and it was SO GOOD, but it is legit scary if you have sensitive (or even not so sensitive) kids. Nothing inappropriate, but the jump scares are scary. Great message and really good though.
And tonight we are doing the new (last year) version of The Witches
Tonight The Corpse Bride per kiddo’s request

There is a flag in the neighborhood “Trump 2020 make liberals cry again” and I think about it a lot. What kind of political stance is that? “My politics are that I hate a certain kind of person and want to piss them off thus I vote this way.” And yet I see it a LOT.
I am sad to see so many Americans... any Americans... any humans. Deciding the fate of the nation not based on good things, Not based on standing for something, but just “Ha ha WE win”
ESPECIALLY right now. No matter how you feel about your local government pandemic response: this is Trump’s America. We are in this position because of his “leadership” his pandemic response, his response to protests and brutality. I don’t get voting for that.
It’s #ComingOutDay2020 and I will share my own coming out story. It wasn’t pleasant. I am sharing it in case you are in a position where coming out is scary or painful, you aren’t alone. (1/19)
I figured out that I was attracted to other girls when I was in high school and slept with a couple during that time. Shout out to beautiful early aught goth babes. Thank you for your services. 😉 (2/19)
In college I had my first serious girlfriend... & I went home for vacation to visit my grandparents- my closest relatives, as my mom died when I was 14 & I didn’t know my father (and my stepfather & stepmother had kicked me out of their home, but that’s a different story) (3/19)
