Today, we are presenting our first-ever EU Strategy on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life.

As part of the EU’s work tackling racism and with antisemitism worryingly on the rise, we are determined to put an end to it.

Every second European considers antisemitism a problem.

We must create an inclusive society based on equality and respect, free from antisemitism and any form of discrimination.

Antisemitism is incompatible with the EU’s core values.

This new Strategy is articulated around three pillars:

▪️ Preventing and combating all forms of antisemitism.

▪️ Protecting and fostering Jewish life in the EU.

We are launching the European Health Emergency preparedness and Response Authority (HERA).

🌍 Outbreaks of infectious diseases are on the rise.

With HERA, we will be better prepared to anticipate potential health crises & address possible gaps in medical countermeasures.

It will work closely with other EU & national agencies, researchers & industry. #HealthUnion
What happens when an emergency hits?

HERA will ensure critical equipment, medicines, vaccines and other medical countermeasures – such as gloves and masks – are available, when and as necessary.

It can activate emergency measures for research, manufacturing and funding.
