Sharing a thread 🧵 of some amazing #WomenInMedicine who are making a difference and using their voices to change the narrative. Sharing a few pieces here that came out today with different reflections on this years #WIMSummit @doximity
First up @RakheeBhayaniMD kicks off her powerful piece (her first OpEd!) “Empower. Educate. Elevate. Those are the words that come to mind as I reflect on my experience at the recent virtual #WIMSummit.”

Next @CShoush shares how this years #WIMSummit helped her find her voice. “ I now counteract “What makes you special-why you?” With a newly energized, inspired and courageous rebuttal. Now I respond with “Why not me?” And then I take the step forward into the unknown.”
Med student @ChristiMedBrown
“We see what our predecessors have experienced... While they have laid down the path, it is up to us to turn that path into a road, making it accessible to everyone in medicine.”
And @aoglasser expertly incorporates @TedLasso @HamiltonMusical in her reflections.
“We cant move things fwd & close the gender equity gap by coming together only once a yr. To honor the work …all year round: support women amplify women, mentor women, sponsor women, Woman Up!
Each year, we are not only inspired by our incredible faculty, but also by our steering committee members, our volunteers, and attendees. We learn so much for everyone who joins us at #WIMSummit in whatever capacity they are involved and engage!
Thank you to all of the incredible #WomenInMedicine and #HeForShe allies in the #WIMStrongerTogether community. We are truly stronger together and we feel fortunate every day for the connections made through this community.
