The feds say they’re arrested 650. The FBI’s Capitol Violence page (which only lists a fraction of the universe of criminal targets) features ~350 suspects who haven’t been arrested yet, so that’s already 1,000. Then you bring in the ~1,500 “insiders” who haven’t been arrested.
“In particular, the FBI is currently seeking the public’s assistance in identifying more than 350 individuals believed to have committed violent acts on the Capitol grounds, including over 250 who assaulted police officers.”
Let that one sink in: There are more than 250 members of the pro-Trump mob who were caught on video assaulting police officers on Jan. 6 and haven’t yet been arrested.
“Law enforcement was unprepared and overwhelmed by the onslaught of pro-Trump rioters on Jan. 6. Now, law enforcement is at risk of being overwhelmed by the mob of Jan. 6 cases that are flooding the system at every step.” huffpost.com/entry/feds-mad…

Last year, after George Floyd was killed, a punk rocker in Tennessee posted a few professional photos that a photographer had snapped for promotional purposes.
The case came in the middle of the Trump administration’s war on “antifa.” The Trump-appointed top federal prosecutor held an whole press conference on it, and even praised the “outstanding investigative work” of law enforcement in the case. huffpost.com/entry/trump-ba…
BREAKING: The feds have arrested two Trump-loving cousins who were caught on video attacking cops at the Capitol on Jan. 6: huffpost.com/entry/trump-ca…

NEW: Florida man Moises Romero arrested in Jan. 6 attack. Feds say he was part of the mob that brawled with cops.
"During the push, which lasted for approximately 1 minute and 20 seconds, video footage depicted rioters punching law enforcement officers, throwing objects at law enforcement officers, and attempting to hit law enforcement officers with a flagpole.”
"ROMERO was near the front of the line of rioters, participating in the push against law enforcement officers.”
"It was partially his light-gray hoodie with a green shamrock — the words Grays Ferry, Devil’s Pocket, and Schuylkill written on each leaf — that eventually helped federal law enforcement track down” a Jan. 6 defendant from Philly. inquirer.com/news/capitol-r…
Get that ~800 number out of your head. The universe of defendants who committed conduct that federal prosecutors have determined warrants criminal charges is ~2,500. huffpost.com/entry/feds-mad…
A bit more news in this piece: Remember those two guys who were arrested because they went to Philly with weapons in a Hummer with a QAnon sticker?
One of them was inside the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.
The central role of crowdsourcing in the case against Robert Scott Palmer is sort of erased from the official narrative, but make no mistake: #seditionhunters solved this case. His case has been adjudicated and he’s in jail because of the work of sleuths. huffpost.com/entry/capitol-…
Here’s a @maddow segment from March on the role that online sleuths like “Amy” played in identifying Robert Scott Palmer, aka #FloridaFlagJacket.
The role that online sleuths played in Friday’s arrest of “AirHead Lady” and “AirHead Boy” was also glazed over. FBI affidavit only mentioned an electronic tip. huffpost.com/entry/capitol-…
