A: Laymen shouldn’t be reading Bukhari.

B: Why?

A: It can cause doubts

B: What Hadith works should they read then?

A: 40 Hadith Nawawi, Riyadh Saliheen etc.
B: Ok let’s scan through Nawawi’s 40 Hadith

Hadith 4: Embryology (very common area for doubt today), details on the issue of divine decree (common area of doubt)

Hadith 5: The concept of Bid’ah (common area for doubts)
Hadith 6: What constitutes “doubtful matters”? How do I know when to act on doubtful matters & when not to?

Hadith 7: How do you give advice to Allah & His messenger?

Hadith 8: The Prophet was commanded to fight. What does this mean? Jihad? What about إلا بحق الإسلام?
Hadith 10: Allah is described as being good. But the human is also good? How to understand this?

Hadith 11: How do I know when it’s appropriate to leave what is doubtful for what is not? Also what is حسن صحيح that Nawawi mentions Tirmidhi saying?
Hadith 12: Do I have to leave off everything that doesn’t concern me? How do I reconcile this with Hadith 13 that says love for your brother what you love for yourself. I love for myself & him guidance and he’s doing things that make him misguided but many say “don’t concern me
Hadith 12: Do I have to leave off everything that doesn’t concern me? How do I reconcile this with Hadith 13 that says love for your brother what you love for yourself. I love for myself & him guidance and he’s doing things that make him misguided but many say “don’t concern me”
Hadith 14: The issue of apostasy law, stoning, Qisas (retribution) all common issues of doubt

Hadith 15: What does “whoever believes in Allah & the last day”mean? Does it mean that those who don’t do these things aren’t believers in Allah and the last day? What is مسمى الإيمان?
Hadith 17: What does it mean to slaughter animals humanely? Does the Islamic method of slaughtering fall in line with what’s considered as “humane slaughter” in modern animal welfare?

Hadith 19: issues pertaining to the divine decree. Also multiple renditions of the same report
Hadith 24: Does Allah also reveal Hadith? Can Allah be unjust? The ‘problem’ of evil

Hadith 27: “Counsel your heart. Righteousness is what the heart is at peace with.” How is this different to the modern notion of do whatever you feel like doing?
Hadith 28: Again the issue of Bid’ah

Hadith 31: “Guide me to an act that the people will love me by”. How do we reconcile this with the concept of Riyaa’ & can we do things to gain the love of the people?
Hadith 32: Nawawi mentions that the report is found in Malik’s Muwatta in ‘Mursal’ form dropping Abu Sa’eed. Nawawi also says that corroborating chains can strengthen each other. Is that correct?
Hadith 38: What constitutes a Wali? What does it mean that Allah declares war against me for showing enmity to a Wali of his?

The same can be done throughout Riyadh Al Saliheen.

So if you fear Bukhari can cause doubts for the layman, these books can also do the same
Also these books are available at the click of a button. In fact you don’t even need to read it yourself. You can listen to it being read on YouTube or on Saudi Sunnah 24/7.

“If a woman prays her 5, fasts her month, protects her private area & obeys her husband it will be said to her “Enter into Paradise from any of its doors””
إذا صلت المرأة خمسها وصامت شهرها وحفظت فرجها وأطاعت زوجها قيل لها ادخلي الجنة من أي أبواب الجنة شئت
After a brief look into this Hadith, it seems that it’s inauthentic.

And Allah knows best

Shadd Al Rihaal: Did Ibn Taymiyyah break the Ijmaa’?

A common claim made against him is that he broke the consensus that Shadd Al Rihaal is permissible to other than the 3 mosques.

Is this accurate?
No it’s not. In fact it’s not even an Ijma’ amongst Ash’aris before we even consider the other schools of thought attributed to Islam.
Al Nawawi says in his commentary on Sahih Muslim:

واختلف العلماء في شد الرحال وإعمال المطي إلى غير المساجد الثلاثة كالذهاب إلى قبور الصالحين وإلى المواضع الفاضلة ونحو ذلك فقال الشيخ أبو محمد الجويني من أصحابنا هو حرام وهو الذي أشار القاضي عياض إلى اختياره

Ibn Al Sallaar Al Shafi’i was the Imam of the Qurraa’ in Damascus in the 8th century & the first teacher of Ibn Al Jazari

Ibn Al Jazari said about him:
هو أول شيخ انتفعت به، ولازمته، وصححت عليه الشاطبية دروسا وعرضا

• He was the first teacher he benefited from

• He spent a good amount of time with the Shaykh

• He studied the Shatibiyyah with him & corrected his understanding of it from him
Did you know that this Shaykh was known as a companion and student of Ibn Taymiyyah?

In fact when he passed away in 782AH, he was buried close to Ibn Taymiyyah

So they want to hide behind a report from Hanbal b. Ishaq from Ahmad.

Ok let’s play their game and hide behind Hanbal b. Ishaq from Ahmad:
1.

“I heard Ahmad say: Allah said to Moses: “I am with you I hear and I see” Allah here tells about Himself that He sees and hears. And seeing cannot be done except with sight, as Allah described Himself as Hearing and Seeing.”

This is a problematic thread.

It is always said study the reports and check who it is you’re taking from. Let’s put this to the test
Point 1:

Note the works that he cites when attempting to cite what the Salaf said about Abu Hanifah.

The brother is citing works authored for the sole purpose of “extolling” the virtues of Abu Hanifah
Al Manaqib Lil Kurdari is a 9th century work authored by Ibn Bazzaz Al Kurdari Al Hanafi to extol the virtues of Abu Hanifah.

Al Manaqib Lil Makki is a mid-6th century work written solely to extol the virtues of Abu Hanifah by a Hanafi called Al Muwaffaq b. Ahmad Al Makki

How you can defend Islam with incorrect arguments that opens the door for us to be attacked by the enemies of Islam.

Here are 100 widespread mistaken responses that many accounts dedicated to calling to Islam make in their attempts at defending the Deen from doubts thrown at it
1- There are cases in which the inheritance of a woman is greater than that of a man

2- Qawaamah (stewardship) only means to serve your wife.

3- Islam came to abolish slavery in a gradual process
4- The lack of a woman’s intellect was identified by the Messenger ﷺ and he limited it to only cases of bearing testimony

5- Slavery is solely based on reciprocity, so if the disbelievers stop capturing us, we will stop capturing them.
