The #AfghanEvac coalition and other groups have not forgotten the American citizens, legal permanent residents, visa holders, and other Afghan allies who are still in Afghanistan. We are continuing to work to find ways for you to leave the country.
The communities are coordinating with the US government and working toward safe and predictable relocation opportunities for those eligible.
If you and your family are currently in a safe location, please stay there for now.
We understand the US government is working to get American Citizens, Green Card holders and other Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs) evacuated immediately and we understand that the they are working on plans to help visa recipients and applicants.
Please stay as safe as possible in the meantime and prepare for this to be a long process.
If someone reaches out to you on behalf of the US government, you can verify if the person is legitimate by reaching out to the organizations you've been working with in our coalition.
Please apply for a US visa (SIV) or parole status (P1/P2) if you qualify and have not already done so. We understand the US government is continuing to process those applications and that they are working to improve processing times.

If your US visa is still being processed and you have arrived in a third country and are expecting to remain there for an extended period, you may request to transfer your case to that consulate or embassy by submitting a request through this form: travel.state.gov/content/travel….
