Here are 9 powers you have, but you are not aware of them👇

A thread
1. Power to be kind

Anyone can be ruthless, rude and mean.
And call it "my nature".

Anyone who steps down from default, rises up to be a human being who cares.
That is kindness. That is superpower.
2. Power to not speak up

Everyone tells you to speak up

I suggest you not speak up.
Because truth, my friend, is rarely spoken through words.

Truth is what speaks up when words don't.
That, is super duper power!
3. Power to move out

Move out of friendships.
Move out of relationships.
Even move out of conversations that are emotionally draining.

Anyone can move in, because where there is energy leakage, there is majority.

The power to move out and save your energy, is a superpower!
4. Power to love yourself

I once read @viraj_sheth talking about having to deal with everything on your own. And I believe that to be true.

No matter how much anyone else loves you, you need to figure how to love yourself.
If you know that, you can conquer anything!
5. Power to love others.

People are waiting to be loved and accepted.
But, you will be able to do that only if you learn to love yourself.

The power on others could be exercised only if you exercise it on yourself.

Which indeed, is another superpower :)
6. Power of detachment

Your best work so far, is in the past.
Your best moments with your best friend, are in the past.
Your best time at the last trip, is in the past.

Detaching from the past, good or bad, gives you power to make a brighter present

7. Power to not crave credit

Yes you played an important role in a team work.

But, not everyone gets the credit.
Sometimes, the one doing the most gets zero credit.

Companionship is a thing.

Once you have that with your deepest thoughts, you don't crave for any other credit.
8. Power to go outdoors

Now that going outdoors is allowed, most of us still stay within.

Because you know what? We get the most vulnerable in nature. And also we get all our answers outdoors.

So we subconsciously stay indoors.
And null our superpowers.
Such a tragedy.
9. Most important of all: Power to use your powers

You can have all the luck in the world and yet not know how to use your powers.

The greatest of all powers, is stepping up, to use your own powers!

Because otherwise you would be a pauper with a solid bank balance.
Currently, we are in the middle of Sharad Navratris - that marks the invoking of our Divine Powers, through remembering the Devis.

Do you know, why is it called invoking powers?

Because through the deities, we get to step up, to our own powers.
There is ZERO power in using power over others.

True superpower, is using your own power. For yourself.

And that's the most difficult part as well.
Perhaps, the easiest :)

Fin.

13 Unpopular Opinions about Human Beings that are actually true!

A thread
1. People who hurt you are broken inside.

The ease with which you accept that, the happier you would be in life.

How to say no

(without sounding rude)

A thread
Hi Nishtha! How are you?

I recently got this text from an ex colleague of a client I was working with.

The client was epic.
However, this partner threw me out of my writing assignment just on call.
Which I made.
After several follow-ups.
I’m usually someone who responds 😊 or 👍 after conversations, however, I didn’t respond to this one.
Why?

Because he would again give me good assignment.
And then say no unprofessionally without me being aware of.

Why do you have to screw up with people again and again?

Everyone thinks kindness is easy, but I think kindness is the hardest thing in the world

Here's why

A real-life story thread
When I was 19, I fell in love.
With only one problem:

The guy VANISHED on the next day of making out.
I called, and got lolled.
I tried connecting, all in vain.
I waited for a closure, because I hadn’t still understood that no closure IS a closure.

21 controversial truths about life
A thread

(Might not be what you expected to hear, but maybe what you needed to hear.)
1. Anger doesn’t change ANYTHING
2. Listening helps, when you want to have a conversation.
Listening is the worst thing to do, if it is the gossip that is being shared.

An unexpected story of how I moved careers into a TOTALLY unrelated field

(And maybe you can too!)

A thread
In Class 6, I wrote my first poem on “The Candle”

It went: “I begin my life to give it an end, ‘coz I’m a candle who has only light to send.”

That sonnet got selected for some best poem of the school.
IDK how :)
Few years later, I was the national topper in Boards in English subjects. In University, scored 90%.

However, by then (2012) the junoon of clearing CA was so much on the top of my head, that I almost didn’t consider this as a sign.

These 11 tiny hacks can save you years of painful effort of trying to feel Good

A thread
Few days back when I wrote a Twitter thread on spirituality, some of you wrote in asking if there are some practices I follow to feel good on a daily basis

Here are the 11 things I do, that help me immensely:
1. No WiFi

Yes, you read that right.
I do not want internet to linger with me throughout the day. So I have a beautiful 2 GB a day plan on phone for myself and Maa Papa, works wonderfully well.

Which brings me to the second thing:
