#ICYMI 1/ Let’s not discount people’s relationships and where they came from when we make judgements. Many of these judgements are born out of ignorance too. Kuda and George have a close relationship which spans over two decades, they go way back.
2/ So when they gift each other to celebrate milestone achievements, they understand the sentiment. Just because George moved into Govt should that mean that his relationship with Kuda should stop? Not only that, they are brothers as they share the Madyira totem.
3/ This was even the basis that Kuda was invited to speak on this occasion despite being one who prefers to shy away from publicity. That they have the capacity to gift at a level that many of us may never achieve is also their prerogative (malevels dzakasiyana).
4/ You can’t expect Kuda to gift a cologne because that’s what you can afford, let’s separate expectations and abilities. Furthermore, on listening closer to a video circulating, where is there mention of a private jet?
5/ Calculate the cost of an Emirates flight and VIP box at an Arsenal game (approx £3k), where does the figure of USD50k come from. Where is there mention of 50k? Where are people getting this slanderous info from?
6/ Furthermore public perception about many of these people is based on inaccurate and largely false information hence you feel they are spending public money when they’re not.
7/ Why however, do we as a people continue to get so excited about cases where our own succeed and celebrate their success but ignore the lavish expenditure and fraudulent dealings of the white capitalists. I’ve said this before and I’ll continue to shout it from the rooftops.
8/ It’s not racism but frustration at our own blindness and selective application of attack.
Currently the forex rates are haywire and one of the biggest contributors to this mayhem is Innscor, but why haven’t they been singled out?
9/ Which white guy or white owned company has been arrested or named and shamed by the RBZ for illegal forex dealings?
The evidence of their shenanigans is apparent and yet they’re allowed to continue with impunity.
10/ Innscor were alleged to be using the rate of 1:200 based on the price of bread, they dominate 80% of the food market with their presence which is a threat to national food security. It’s further alleged that they own shares in the English Premier football team, Liverpool.
11/ Why aren’t they supporting local teams in the way Kuda helped Highlanders and Dynamos? They don’t, they invest and take their money to sporting teams outside the country. This goes on but we all keep quiet about it and make noise and fight amongst each other.
12/ Vana Billy Rautenbach sold Todal claims for millions of dollars and took the money outside but because he’s white it’s palatable and he’s not arrested or investigated.
13/ Let’s talk about Univern who’ve made what could be billions of dollars and taken it out of the country through deals signed with the Ministry of Transport, long before Hon. Mhona was Minister which have really prejudiced Govt in many ways.
14/ We must really begin to comment on facts based on sound, irrefutable information.
The near death experiences shared by both Kuda and George further gave them a new outlook on life and cause to celebrate.
15/ Once you’ve been given a new lease on life you begin to appreciate what is near and dear to you in a more fervent manner; your family, friends and values as you learn that wealth doesn’t really mean much at the end of the day.
16/ Covid-19 is not a joke and once you’ve gone through the trauma is not about money, but about living whilst you’ve the opportunity.
They’ve worked hard and been in business and the private sector for a long time. We must separate issues.
17/ In fact having people in positions of influence is an added advantage as they are able to address the matters at hand for national interest without the distractions of feeding themselves and their families, it mitigates greed and selfishness.
18/ Some write and comment out of ignorance, out of malice, jealousy or to mischievously seek political mileage; that’s wrong.
It’s an advantage to have a strong network, there’s nothing wrong or criminal about that so long as dealings remain above board.
19/We have the unsavoury tendency to target the wrong issues. Ok, so if we’re so outraged at blacks we perceive are damaging the economy, why do we protect and are we silent on white capitalists who rape our resources and externalise? Why hasn’t Govt cracked the whip on them too?
20/ This is the question everybody should be asking and demanding answers to. Why aren’t the whites being arrested? We’ve witnessed lists of alleged forex dealers, where are the white, Indian or Chinese owned companies and individuals on those lists? @ReserveBankZIM
21/ The arrests are targeted at the wrong people and will therefore achieve nothing. That to me is where the elephant in the room is. We arrest and frustrate each other but leave the real culprits, who devastate the economy unscathed.
22/ Failure to deal with issues like this is where people lose confidence in the Govt and will respond through the ballot. Which way, I don’t know, your guess is as good as mine but respond they will.
23/ Fighting and destroying one another is an old tactic used by those who want to control an economy. Wake up! Let’s not lose focus on petty issues. Let’s focus on real issues. The blacks don’t have money in our country.
24/ The whites have the uncanny ability to act dumb and poor whilst striking it big, being filthy rich and deferring attention. Who controls the mineral resources in this county, the EPOs etc?
25/ They go and raise money on the stock exchange with those claims but they never bring the money to this country, that’s the biggest fraud ever!
26/ We need to have a mindset shift where we trust in ourselves first. We can’t continue to believe that anything outside ourselves is more superior or trustworthy than our own. It’s an archaic and colonialist mindset that must change for us to gain traction and succeed.
27/ For this who succeed, who are we to tell them how to spend their money? Who dictates how you spend your funds? Yes, that alcoholic beverage you splurged on last night, why didn’t you donate it to those in need or to bolster Covid-19 vaccination efforts…I’m just saying…

My problem with @daddyhope is why does he not also talk about Innscor, Billy Rautenbach, Univern who have plundered US$800 billion. The figures and evidence is there. There are reports from the Auditor General's report of squandered money.
The Public Accounts Committee also did a report and I won't preempt it because its coming detailing US$3 billion that was squandered. Tendai Biti was the Chairperson and there is no better person to deal with such.
We can't be accusing people of many things with no evidence. Some are just good businessmen, shrewd in what they do. We might as well accuse Strive Masiyiwa of looting. But he simply got a licence and made his money.
You must never provoke animals, that way they will never attack you. They are great and will even protect you. The elephant will even warn you.
Did you know an elephant has a memory of about 20 years with that trunk. If you try to do anything to it and it hits you with that trunk it remembers for 20 years.
Black rhinos, sad how they have been poached. Few species left, but great animals. Managed to see all the big five of the jungle. It's amazing how animals cohabitate. Deep thinking is needed to understand& worth spending time reading about it.
Happy birthday to George Guvamatanga, Madyira. Wish you many more years. Enjoy more life, hoping you have a new perspective of life after your near death experience with Covid. I understand, after such, your whole lifestyle changes. Enjoy your work, wealth and your family.
In the process I hope you also create a trust to help the disadvantaged. Very few move from the private sector into Gvt to help the country. Yours is a national service, same with Doug Munatsi of ZIDA.
I have known you to be a progressive Zimbabwean. Your type are needed to bring about the much needed change. 50 years is a milestone. All the best Madyira. @GGuvamatanga
One of the things which I must admit about, was how I hated NGOs due to @ZANUPF_Official propaganda which framed them as enemies of the state. Yet they were there to fight for people's rights, including those in ZANU.
Only when I left ZANU did the truth dawn on me. Also when I got arrested some of these organisations stood with me. @ZLHRLawyers gave me lawyers. I began to realise that Zanu hated them because they conscientise people and make them aware of their rights.
Going towards elections ZANU has started again contriving stories against them. There is no need for that. Zimbabweans know what they want.
Our economy is a political economy. The day it departs from being that and operates strictly in economic terms we will make progress. We have to follow the pure dictates of economics.
There are 7 simple steps we have to be cognizant of in this mess. 1)You Auction what you physically have but if you want to Auction what you don't have you have a duty to tell the Bidders that you are Auctioning what you don't have.
2. RBZ has been conducting Auctions every 2 weeks and has NEVER disclosed that it was Auctioning currency that it didn't have.
So Obadiah Moyo went through all the trouble& trauma, lost his job etc only to have the case dismissed. That's why I say arresting authorities and Prosecutor General's Office work on political instructions. The judges look at the matters impartially and dismiss them.
Too many arrests and very few successful prosecutions. Previously I wanted to sue the state over wrongful arrets and the late Mugabe told me not to. Said I should learn to forgive. What I appreciate is that the system hardened me.
That is why I'm where I am because of repeated arrests that I have gone through. Ndatove bhanditi I don't care.
