Prayers up for the family of Deon Estus, whose bass lines have made the world a better place. Thanks so much for the bangers, mate. Hope Tayce is doing OK today. ๐๐๐
The best part of Careless Whisper is his little flourish after George's "time can never mend" line. Perfection, truly.
I said what I said.
Jess points out that Tayce's dad is Roger not Deon. Glad that king is hopefully OK today.
I find it really interesting how still, even now, women are consistently told that the only thing that is important about us is our child bearing capacity. I mean this is simply true of the younger generation that cannot afford to have kids now anyway, but it is leveled at women.
*Sees a bright eyed fresher at Cambridge* You're going to end up a barren old crone. You know that???
It is this biological essentialism that feminism needs to work against in a number of ways. First we need to decouple the idea of womanhood from reproductive capacity. Second we need to create a world that actually supports parents when they do have children.
Really hate this now age of doping in cycling. Making it absolutely impossible to enjoy the sport once again. I wish Pogaฤar could at least cheat in a believable way. Out here breaking Kayfabe on the regular.
This has been a tweet about the sport of profesional cycling. Thank you.
People who think this is not happening, how? Where to I buy that level of naivete???
You have to read this amazing story of a woman who got so mad that she isn't popular and can't get published that she sues someone for plagiarism. It is just truly sensational.
I YELLED: "Dorlandโs lawyer, meanwhile, can point to that 2016 text message of Larsonโs, when she says she tried to reword the letter but just couldnโt. (โThat letter was just too damn good.โ)
โThe whole reason they want it in the first place is because itโs special,"
GIRL NO
Honey they mean you are insufferable not that you can write. Please. ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
On the day when the facts of the Sarah Everard murder are coming to the fore, while there are cops with Nazi tattoos on the floor of the Labour conference, I have no idea how to express how genuinely disturbing it is to hear Starmer say we need more police to keep women safe.
This argument is at the best willfully ignorant and at the worst intentionally harmful. What are we supposed to do with this? What do we have to do to make people see that there is a problem here?
Just finished dressing up to meet my mate and watch Drag Race UK at the pub and B says to me, upon seeing my look, "It's a bit much isn't it? You're just going to the pub." Honestly.
Sorry but it's short shorts boots the house down and I do not care.
