People often confuse output with effort πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Being a creator can be effortless if you find ways to increase your output without your effort. I believe we call that leverage.

Here's what a typical leveraged shipping day looks like for me πŸ‘‡
First things first... ALWAYS BE BRAIN DUMPING
I am constantly throwing ideas into my ideas list. My only rule is I have to do a brain dump when I have the idea.

And stop sabotaging your ideas before they have a chance to fly. JUST.STOP.OVERTHINKING
MOVE FROM IDEA TO UP NEXT
Each week on a Sunday I'll spend time choosing a few ideas that I'm excited about into my Up Next Pile.

Queries help me to bring up all those random ideas I've dumped in through the week
CHOOSE THE BIG EASY
Each morning I head to my Up Next Pile and choose my big easy.

Longevity for me has been finding joy in everything that I write. The trifecta of the big easy helps me find that joy everyday πŸ‘‡

LET IT SIMMER
Once the big easy has been acquired I pin it to my sidebar and let it simmer throughout the day.

Sometimes it just sits there as a reminder. Other times I'll add thoughts and notes as they come to me.
WINE AT 5
About 5pm I go Joan Didion style where I sit down with a glass of wine and plate up the content to be served.

Most of the heavy lifting has been done with my brain dump and the simmer and if I need something extra I'll head to my notes.
MAKE FRAMEWORKS YOUR FRIEND
Frameworks create a literal slipstream to get you into the flow. I have frameworks and starters for EVERYTHING:

πŸ‘‰ Headlines
πŸ‘‰ Lead In Tweets
πŸ‘‰ Thread Starters
πŸ‘‰ Essay Formats
THE SMALL BUT MIGHTY CHECKLIST
Checklists are unsexy little beasts. My checklists get me from draft to publish in 3 simple steps:

πŸ‘‰ Get me to Typeshare in one click
πŸ‘‰ Make sure I'm not lazy and double-check my spelling
πŸ‘‰ Remind me to enter my content into my database

Here's How I Make My Shipping Seem Effortless:
πŸ‘‰ Always be collecting ideas
πŸ‘‰ Move the best to your up next pile
πŸ‘‰ Scan your up next pile daily for the big easy
πŸ‘‰ Let it simmer
πŸ‘‰ Use frameworks to get in the slipstream
πŸ‘‰ Don't forget your checklists

2οΈβƒ£πŸŽ‰0οΈβƒ£πŸŽ‰0️⃣ Days Of Creating

When I pressed publish on day 1 I thought I was writing 30 essays in 30 days. I had no idea it would completely change my life.

I never imagined I would make it to 200 😱

But here we are with 200 lessons I learned in 200 days of shipping πŸ‘‡
Before we get into the lessons, there are literally hundreds of friends I want to tag who have been PIVOTAL in this journey. But I shall spare you all the tweetstorm and just say if you're reading this THANK YOU for being here.

Now 200 lessons. Are you ready?
OK, I couldn't NOT shout out these two. I literally wouldn't be writing this if it wasn't for @dickiebush & @Nicolascole77

Endless gratitude πŸ™ for the constant support and for the amazing ship30 community you've created.

OK. OK. Onwards to 200 shipping lessons πŸ‘‡

It's 5pm.
I'm done.
All I can manage to do is order Uber Eats & pass out on the lounge watching Netflix by 8pm.

πŸ‘† This was me most days until I found a way to harness momentum energy

Now I build energy throughout the day rather than deplete it. Here's how πŸ‘‡πŸ§΅
You can either live your days dragging through the wind or you can use the wind to your advantage and let it lift and push you along.

It's all comes down to intentional design πŸ‘‡
Fuel Your Body
First of all if you are not looking after the basics, none of the following tools will work to increase energy.

Drink water, eat good food, take breaks, hug your doggos.

Creators who master showing up daily are winning against 95% of everyone else

Except showing up daily is hard

Here are 5 secrets I use to show up even on the shitty days πŸ‘‡πŸ§΅
πŸ’ͺ Showing up is like building a muscle...

The more you show up πŸ™ƒ
πŸ‘‡
the more you build the muscle
πŸ‘‡
& the more you build the muscle
πŸ‘‡
the easier it becomes to show up πŸ™‚

Here's some of my best creative muscle building techniques πŸ‘‡
Work A Little Overtime On Your Good Days
It's always easy to put in a little extra effort when the creative juices are flowing. On those days:

πŸ‘‰ Do an extra brain dump
πŸ‘‰ Write 10 extra ideas
πŸ‘‰ Research a topic you want to write about

Your future self will thank you later

After 10 years of being a wannabe creator I've 200x'd my creative output in 6 months with one simple hack πŸ‘‡

I hit publish 200 times 😬

Here's 10 of my best anti-hacks for showing up daily as a creatorπŸ‘‡πŸ§΅
Focus On Today πŸ“†
Don't worry about tomorrow, next week or 30 days from now. Focus on hitting publish today, then do the same tomorrow and the day after that.

All that matters today is that you hit publish. The numbers will take care of themself.
Trust The Process 🧐
Your day 1 is probably going to suck. You're probably going to be disappointed with how many people engage. You're probably going to think there is something wrong.

There's nothing wrong. You're just early in the process.

You'll never find creative flow if you keep 10,000 tabs open in your brain 🧠

Here are 3 easy steps to build a trusted tab closing system for your brain so you can find presence and flow every day
πŸ§΅πŸ‘‡
Just like tabs on a computer, open tabs in our brain take up space in our working memory and affect performance.

They slow us down, break our flow and lead to overwhelm

The only way to close these tabs is to build a system our brain will trust. Here's how πŸ‘‡
Do A Brain Dump 🧠
All those open tabs are taking up the limited space you have in your working memory. You want this space to find flow, not keep tabs open.

Step 1: Get them out of your head and down on paper (or screen)

Unless Twitter is your full-time job you don't need to spend hours every week writing tweets to fill up a schedule.

Here are 10 frameworks I use to write a full week of tweets in less than one hourπŸ‘‡
Always be collecting ideas 🧠

πŸ‘‰ Start a list in your favourite note tool called Tweet Ideas
πŸ‘‰ Throw random ideas in throughout the week
πŸ‘‰ Batch write your content once a week from that list.

Now, onto the frameworks πŸ‘‡
Mine Your Previous Content πŸ’Ž
For each essay I write I go back and extract content to use for tweets:
πŸ‘‰ Quotable Thoughts
πŸ‘‰ Listicles
πŸ‘‰ Questions

This tweet came directly from an essay I wrote
