So many foolish conclusions being drawn about the #Coal distribution by people who have zero information about the matter!!

Chief Ministers of Non-BJP ruled States are the ones making maximum noise, mindlessly crying foul & giving only selective information to the Media. 1/6

#Coal Ministry kept writing to various States to pick up & stock coal. At that time, no one bothered to respond. As per official records, Ministry communicated in January, April & May 2021. Besides, a letter was also written to the States by Power Minister @RajKSinghIndia. 2/6

Additionally, 10 states including Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra & Rajasthan owe Coal India Ltd over ₹19.9 Thousand Crore in outstanding dues despite being reminded multiple times.

Despite the dues, CIL maintained coal supply to these states. 3/6

A delayed monsoon & extended rainfall were some of the factors that did impact supply, but it was just temporary. Another factor was the 3 times hike in coal prices in international markets & thus those plants which were originally importing coal, started buying domestically. 4/6

Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi govt, that put a complete ban on coal-based power plants in 2019, were the first to create panic that there is Coal shortage. Similarly, Punjab govt also shut power plants but did not make alternative arrangements for power supply in their state. 5/6

Since more than 4 days, Aam Aadmi Party is shedding crocodile tears about having only "2 days of coal stock left"!!

Everyday they manufacture a new controversy & keep playing mind-games with the public. This 'sher aaya sher aaya' attitude must be called out & condemned!! 6/6
