@TRIhunna @cashappmehoe @moneyymaya A friend told me she once used a free motion detection app, to see if her hotel had hidden cameras. Believing the app detected multiple cameras, movements -- she no longer stays in hotels.

Also, people steal credit cards through hotel wifi. Be careful.

@TRIhunna @cashappmehoe @moneyymaya The motion detection app is called Alfred Camera app.

There are many apps like this that can keep you safe:

"These free personal safety apps can alert others that you need help, even if you're unable to send an SOS yourself."

@TRIhunna @cashappmehoe @moneyymaya Also, report the incident to the police.

It'll help determine if there's a pattern.
@TRIhunna @cashappmehoe @moneyymaya How does it work?

The motion detection is an app that works with your phone.

You turn the app on, place the phone on or near the wall. The meter will start to rise (sound will get louder) as you get closer to the person spying on you.

Now, tvs, microwaves, can interfere..
@TRIhunna @cashappmehoe @moneyymaya ... with an accurate reading.
But, it's very simple. You literally place the phone on the door, wall, wherever.
@TRIhunna @cashappmehoe @moneyymaya Some apps merge both, the motion detection and the camera.

The camera usually needs another smart phone (even an old, unused one). With Alfred, you can be at the store and if something moves in your house -- it'll send you a motion alerts with live recording.

It's free.
@TRIhunna @cashappmehoe @moneyymaya You can also use a laptop or tablet.

Oh, how things have changed.

Now, you look 👀 for Blacks in the leadership of the #PuertoRican Republican Party, and it’s not so much easy; it’s like a “white out” generally very, very, WHITE light-skin looking Boriquas. A few even with blonde hair.

It’s shameful.

“Midnight Sky & Silent Stars”

Read the beautiful letter Frederick Douglass wrote to Harriet Tubman.
"The difference between us is very marked. Most that I have done and suffered in the service of our cause has been in public, and I have received much encouragement at every step of the way. You, on the other hand, have labored in a private way. I in the day – you in the night."
"The midnight sky and the silent stars have been the witnesses of your devotion to freedom and of your heroism. Excepting John Brown – of sacred memory – I know of no one who has willingly encountered more perils and hardships to serve our enslaved people than you have."

The Black Mexican President

It is #MexicanIndependenceDay.

What a wonderful day to talk about Africans in Mexico, to talk about Vicente Guerrero — the Afro-Mexican President.

- He abolished slavery

- He gave rights to the indigenous people of Mexico

He was executed for it.

1819; the Spaniards sent Guerrero's father to plead for an end to his rebellion.

The response: "Compañeros, this old man is my father. He comes to offer me rewards in the name of Spain. I have always respected my father but my homeland comes first."
