I think it’s important we start with TCP/IP and understand this protocol better to give context to the mass scale of what $QNT is looking to achieve
First
Introducing: the fathers of the internet
Vint Cerf & Bob Kahn
It was the late 1960’s
The height of the Cold War between two nuclear-capable countries (USA & Russia).
An arm of the Department of Defense is starting research & development to build an experimental network to connect telephone lines with Pentagon- funded research institutions
The name:
ARPANET.
ARPANET, and like blockchains today, face(d) an eerily similar problem.
A single interoperability standard.
With ARPANET, there was finally a reliable and secure packet switching network to connect to
But still lacked a standard universal language to communicate through
Different devices are still not able to interoperate effectively
2 unknown DARPA Scientists changed EVERYTHING
Learning valuable lessons from the Networking Control Protocol of its predecessor
Bob & Vint built the transmission protocol standard that we all use today:
This allows for a fully identifiable and encrypted network
Overledger has a patented its shared layer architecture
From what I understand, the messaging and filtering layer is patented technology
Overledger is clearly seen as a potential global standard for interoperability
How will it become a standard?
First Alpha:
ISO TC 307 $QNT
Founded by CEO Gilbert Verdian
Currently 53 countries are partnered working towards an interoperability standard for DLT
And Overledger is priming itself to lead the way
For the UK , the standards body is the BSI.
Verdian is their chairman of the Blockchain & DLT committee
Quant is also a founder of the INATBA
(International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications)
An initiative promoted by the EU’s European Blockchain Partnership
26 EU countries are members
It’s goal is to create blockchain regulation for the EU as a whole
In part one of this two part series we covered:
-TCP/IP
-It’s similarities in scope to Overledger
- Overledger’s technology
-The track that is being taken towards a global standard for interoperability
$QNT
In Part two
We will cover:
-more on Gilbert Verdian
-Partnerships
-Tokenomics
And other alpha on Quant.
Part 2 coming soon. $QNT
