Nobody liked opposing this theory before a Catholic priest's name was attached to it. Feels weird seeing it now.
The thing is that there's nothing in this theory that fundamentally rejects the basis of the genesis creation story. I will not say its an allegory because I dont think it is but someone on twitter once told me that its as if God revealed the origin of the universe to the writer
Of genesis but he couldn't fully understand it as it was, so wrote it as he understood it or perceived it.
Its an interesting perspective nonetheless
There's still truth in it, but again, the fundamental motivation of the book of genesis isn't to expand of the scientific basis of the universe, but on the relationship between God and man.
But, back on topic, it still feels weird that now there's an open rejection of the Big Bang theory going around.

So I decided to watch this show called "Prodigal Son" and the 1st episode itself hooks you.
It's about the son of a serial killer who becomes an forensic profiler (against his dad's wishes of course) and his tenous relationship with his incarcerated father while solving cases
The father, who was given the moniker The Surgeon, keeps trying to shape his son, Malcolm, to be like him
Meanwhile, Malcolm has spent all his life trying to escape from his father's legacy and dedicated his life to catching people like him
Its a pretty interesting show, with a bit of the Mindhunter vibe, where Malcolm tries to understand the inner workings of killers to catch them, while struggling to keep distance from his overly attached father. The cast is brilliant I think.
Since its flu season, home remedy for a cold: 1 red onion, 2 tsp ginger powder, 5-8 whole peppercorns.
Slice onion into half, put in a pot of 1 litre water, put ginger powder and peppercorns, bring to a boil for 20 minutes. Strain, have half a cup daily, warm.
If you don't want to make a lot of it, you can put 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, 1/8 teaspoon ginger powder, 1/8 or less teaspoon peppercorns powder in a cup of hot water, let it cool for a few minutes, then drink.
My cold usually clears up in two days.
This is a recipe someone gave my mother. It works, as onion, ginger and pepper are great for dealing with colds
Remember that St. Augustine is a doctor of the church because St. Monica prayed for him to find the faith.
I feel that people now expect instantaneous change through prayer so when it doesn't happen all the time they start talking nonsense like how prayer does nothing. You're operating in God's time, and He makes all things beautiful in His time, not yours.
Very true. After all, there are psychopaths. Are you sure you want all humans to act as per their innate thoughts? I'm sure that's what gives us serial killers.
These same people expect the law to keep society from spiralling into anarchy. How amazingly and predictably dumb.
You went looking for obscure passages so much you forgot the first, basic reason the bible gives for things going wrong in the world - the sin of Adam, original sin.
