Aight #ENVtuber's let's discuss a few things about shitty feelings associated with growth. (THREAD)
1/23
Feeling bad about your growth, especially when your peers seem to be growing at a faster pace is perfectly normal. Hell, I've felt that a few times myself. And it's important to let yourself feel bad about it *in that moment* 2/23
Let yourself feel shitty, eat ice cream or some good food, cancel stream, watch a funny movie, hang out with friends in a call etc. in order to feel "Ok". Not "Happy" or "Positive". Because let's address the elephant in the room real fast. 3/23
"Positivity" all the time is not the best way to always be. Hell, that shit isn't even normal, it implies suppressing feelings to avoid addressing issues in your life or to cater to other people at the expense of yourself which isn't correct and incredibly
toxic. 4/23
On the flip-side, being negative all the time is equally self
destructive, aggresive behavior etc. You wind up just doing nothing at all instead of something. So while I don't co-sign on extensive positivity, I don't suggest you drown yourself in negativity either. 5/23
Feeling bad about growth, even I have felt this, someone with a very loud personality and extremely extroverted. And you have to come to terms with something specific. 6/23
Some people just get lucky, or know the algorithm well enough to win the Content Creator lottery. That's just how it is. Is it fair? Is it right? Tbh, I dont really think it matters. I think no matter what that kind of thing is inevitable. 7/23
So what can YOU do about it? Well it really varies person
to person. It depends on what your goals or intentions are. If it's simply to just chill and vibe with a community of friends you made, that's a bit easier to be lax about and there's no inherent stress. 8/23
Then let's say you'd like to do this as a career. This is where thing's get a bit dicier. If you have to attend school, have a job, children, disabilities etc. Then you have other factors you have to account for when pursuing streaming full-time. 9/23
You'll most definitely have to work harder than most people, unless you get lucky. And it's not like you can't be disappointed in your growth or upset about numbers in ref to your peers, because once again that's normal. 10/23
And it might even hurt moreso as you have priorities that you *HAVE* to focus on. Which you definitely should prioritize over streaming if it's you or loved one's livelihood, or your health. 11/23
Understand that you're not a robot and you should
listen to your body when you feel bad or sick. Don't feel guilty about not streaming everyday if it's not yet your main gig. 12/23
Don't feel scared to stream because you think your stream isn't going to do well. Streaming can be a job, but I think you should try to have fun when you do it and try to find a way to relax. 13/23
We're all anime people in this bitch, so we're kinda past the "embarassing" or cringe. Bitch we are cringe, but we are free. So embrace that shit dude! 14/23
It's okay to be a positive force. But do not let it squash the feelings of yourself and others. It's okay to be sad about numbers or growth, but do not let it taint and overrun all of your thoughts. 15/23
Take breaks, do research in the times you are free about what you can do to improve your streams, make a schedule, if you are able to do so. However; try to be realistic too. If streaming was easy, we'd all have 1K+ people in our streams. 16/23
Being a content creator is not easy. However;
if you want it bad enough, even people who have a lot on their plate can do this. I believe in that, as there are plenty of people who have done it before. 17/23
Be happy when it's time to be happy and feel free to be sad when things dont work out. Don't let them consume you completely and do things at your own pace as not everyone blows up over night even though it seems that way right now. 18/23
I've been growing at a slow pace every month this year and I def had moments where I was concerned about my growth and I had streams where I cancelled for a reason or another. I went from 11 to 17-21 avg and that's puny compared to my peers, but who the fuck
cares? 19/23
I've been working my ass off besides what I've been learning in my free time between school and working. I clip my own streams, most things I pay for are outta my own pocket, I plan my streams in advance and rarely deviate it from it. 20/23
According to streaming guides I'm doing everything "correctly" and I have been growing, but slowly. While some of my peers don't do the things I've been learning, but are EXPLODING in growth! It does bother me and I let myself dwell on it for a min 21/23
And then I resolve myself to do what only *I* can do.
Not everyone is like me however; and I understand that. There are lots of factors that will always be on the radar that are unaccounted for. What's most important is you do what you can. 22/23
Try to stick to the path you set for yourself. I think even if it's a slow burn of a mountain climb, I think it's still worth pursuing, especially if it's your dream. You can do this, stay gold. 23/23

Personally I think voice acting would take me out of the experience, but this is an old fan speaking from that perspective, so I'm probably just against change. I suppose it couldn't hurt, but I dont think it makes or breaks a Pokemon game tbh.
There's lots of other factors in Pokemon that I think could make it better, I think voice acting is the least important to making the franchise "better". But a lot of fans are also against innovation when the series...tries things so it's really difficult.
I *personally* think some cutscene skipping (smth I've always wanted), and some more quality of life changes like in SWSH and USUM would make the game better overall, but voice acting feels like a weird option for "making it better". Good VO work can't save crappy writing.

#ENVtuber tip: Small Goals are supreme. If you set small goals, it gives you that sweet serotonin because its easy to accomplish and makes you wanna and feel like you can do more. (A thread) 1/16
For example, lets say you have 3 viewer avg in your stream. Set your small goal to something like 7 viewer avg. Now I hear you saying "But thats only 4 people!?" Yes. It is. 4 more people in your stream watching you and interacting with your content. 2/16
Correct me if Im wrong, bc my math do be dookie, but 7 is bigger than 3 no? 4 more people is also achievable. And if you announce your small goal in a sphere where people are watching you (i.e. Twitter) people will be more inclined to help upu reach that goal. Heres why. 3/16
