Congrats to the full @RedHat team on a strong quarter! Here are Red Hat-related highlights I caught in @IBM's earnings last night. 🧵👇
- IBM's software revenue growth was led by @RedHat, security, automation, and Cloud Paks (which are built on @openshift).
"The one that performed exactly according to what we wanted was Red Hat."
- @RedHat revenue was up 17% (normalized) & 23% all-in
- Red Hat revenue growth was driven by double-digit growth in both infrastructure and application development and emerging technology. 📈
- In Q3, there was more than 40% growth in @RedHat@openshift recurring revenue.
- There are now more than 3,500 clients using Red Hat OpenShift.🔥
- @ibmconsulting is helping to drive @RedHat platform adoption and in Q3, had 180+ new Red Hat engagements. This contributes to total Red Hat-related signings of close to $3.5 billion since the acquisition. 💪
- In the quarter, @RedHat introduced a new rearchitected version of the @ansible Automation Platform. More on Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2 here: redhat.com/en/about/press…
- We also launched a new version of Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes. Tightly integrated with @RedHat@ansible, driving hybrid cloud automation. More on Advanced Cluster Management for #Kubernetes here: redhat.com/en/about/press…
Recent examples of large-scale architectural commitments to #RedHat tech:
- #Schlumberger using #OpenShift to make its E&P enviro accessible across any infrastructure: on-premise, private & public clouds
- @Delta using Red Hat tech to modernize its IT infrastructure
In Q3, Red Hat extended its open #hybridcloud portfolio.
- OpenShift virtualization enables customers to migrate & run VMs natively w/in #OpenShift
