SA is missing about 2 million tons of coal exports a month due to problems and theft at and from Transnet. The loss over the last 3 months at 2 million tonnes is R2,4 billion for the country. SA should be exporting 8 not 3,5 million so the potential loss is R5,4 billion. 1/2 
The theft of cables has actual losses for the country. The looting and threats are real. R5,4 billion every month lost for, say, a year is R65 billion. The damage is huge, but no one is jailed, so more theft happens. Coal exports are lower today than in 1994 2
Starving people, job losses continue but still, corruption and theft are not punished. It becomes a one-way bet just steal the cable or set fire to the equipment. When the law is not implemented or selectively implemented it is the honest folk and the poor who suffer. 3
SA is not attracting investment the data tell us this. The unemployment numbers and poverty increase. Not many looters are in jail. People see that and take what is not theirs. It is snowballing. Insiders say Transnet is losing 25km of cable every week. 4
Prasa is operating for most of our working class which is its main function. Also due to same. The non-implementation of the law favours the lawless. The Jobless & the honest get screwed and businesses HAVE lost trust in CR. 5
Elections also mean that point-scoring by parties means that little is done to the real issues and promised of houses, work etc remain just promises, but buy short-term votes. The damage here was just coal for export. what about iron ore or agricultural exports or even imports? 6
The only thing we need to build for the next year is jails and fill them and only then will we see improvement. Full jails tell people SA is serious about getting ahead. I have a new SA target 50% of politicians should be sentenced to jail for at least 5 years 7/7
