The average adult makes 35,000 choices every day.

You're going to be wrong, a lot.

8 steps to be right more often. 🧵
Is this life-altering?

Our perception of the importance of any choice is often skewed by time.

In the moment, even the smallest decisions can seem like they are "mission critical" in our minds.

Pause.

Don't sweat the small stuff.

Give each decision the attention it deserves.
Analyze possible outcomes.

•What happens if you make this choice?

•What definitely won't happen?

•What if you do the exact opposite?

Understanding the most likely outcome of making (or not making) a decision allows the decision itself to become easier to grapple with.

Life is short.

Let's share some positivity.

How to be a better person -> Today 🧵
Be helpful:

Open a door, carry a bag, lend a hand.

It doesn't take much.

Small gestures of kindness bestowed upon others have a compounding effect.

Take 10 seconds -> change someone's day.
Lend an ear:

Listening is a lost art.

Sometimes people don't want you to solve their problems, they just want someone to talk to.

We all need to vent from time to time.

Quit trying to "fix it" and just listen.

There are currently over 1.86 Billion websites.

Few provide any real value.

Here are 7 that do: 🧵
1/ Attend the Ivy League:

Always thought it would be cool to go to an Ivy League school?

Here's your chance.

Free lecture notes, exams, and videos from MIT.

2/ Millions of books: Available for free.

Booklists seem to be all the rage recently on Twitter.

(I'm guilty of posting a couple myself)

Instead of a list, here's a link to a library full of them.

The goal:
"A web page for every book ever published."

Feeling out of the loop on Web 3?

No worries, I've got you covered.

A thread on what it is, what's changing, & why you should care.

(In simple terms) 🧵
To understand where we're going, we need to know where we've been.

Web 1.0 - Built for consumption

Think of the web in this era as a giant "digital library."

Characterized by static web pages, the internet was a place users visited to consume, not create.
Web 2.0 - The "Social Web"

The next evolution of the web has allowed the masses to become active participants.

Creating & sharing content through blogs, social media, and various interactive applications.

In short: Everyone can be an author / editor / distributor.
