I ended up buying a mac mini with the new m1 chip, and a 27" 4k monitor from LG. Really happy with the setup so far.... thankful for icloud, all my stuff (mostly) was backed up, and I had an external drive with the bulk of my really important stuff. I'm back to normal for now.
Need to download all the software I had on the imac, but that shouldn't be a problem. The native speakers on this thing suck, so I connected a bose portable speaker to it, and I had to order a webcam as well.
I got 10 years out of my imac. If this thing can take me till I'm almost 60, well, I'll be golden.
Fuck. What a bummer of a sentence. I'm old.

One thing that "Fizban's" does that is most interesting, is how it fundamentally changes the way the multiverse works in #dnd, and how it may be setting up for greater things.
The book concretely makes it indisputable fact that dragons have various versions of themselves throughout the multiverse, so Bob the Dragon can exist in various worlds, much like the concept of variants in the MCU.
Not only that, but these variants can basically combine into a greatwyrm, composed of all the variants of a single dragon. Which means, that if used as a campaign ending boss, PCs will no doubt have to become involved in multiverse type stuff.
I slayed a dragon and found this sitting atop its treasure hoard. Tonight at some point we shall explore it together with a flip through review of Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons! #dnd
As always, it’ll be a first-look where I look at its contents for the first tine along with you. This one interests me for two reasons:
1. The obvious Dragonalance tie
2. @aquelajames is the lead designer and I am a fan.
This flip through will have to wait until Sunday because I’m hanging out with my girl. 👍👍 it’s a good Saturday night!
Tobias Beckett got this really cool ship, The Rampart, in one issue of a comic, & never been featured again or given a model no.
So I'll do it. It's a YT-WH61, a rare concept ship Corellian Freighter that made its way out of the factory. There are just a few of these out there.
The heavy gunnery and large sensor array created a need for a second cockpit, where these systems are controlled.
The sensor array was able to pivot, and it was highly sensitive, giving Beckett and his crew more reliable readings beyond the capacity of most transports. This is why the ship was being tested and what it was conceived for.
I’ve done this before, but why not do it again. I saw them come up today in a group post. Wanna look at the 1991 TSR #dnd trading cards. I love these things.
Obviously not gonna go through the whole set. 😂
I like them because regardless of edition, you can use them to show players some art, tangible, not off a screen.
