THREAD: Yesterday, Zionist “defense” minister Benny Gantz announced the designation of six Palestinian civil society groups as “terrorist organizations.” #ResistanceIsNotACrime#FreePalestine
Forcing civil society orgs to carry on their work underground is a tactic used not only by Israel but historically by the US to quash the Black liberation movement through COINTELPRO and similar surveillance programs aimed at destroying the Black Panthers, MOVE, etc.
The targeting of these orgs as “terrorist” operations is an attempt to punish & silence organizers who do the work of documenting the occupation’s violence & brutality, & for exposing the true motives of Zionist project that has caused a global shift in Palestinian support.
The Zionist state is determined to stifle any threat to its legitimacy on the world stage. In targeting civil society orgs, Israel makes clear that the threat to the Zionist project is credible. In the face of these scare tactics, our work carries on, & the struggle continues!

This Mother’s Day, we are thinking of the Palestinian Mothers who are fighting on the frontlines in Sheikh Jarrah against evictions by Israeli settlers. ✊🏼🇵🇸 #MothersDay#SaveSheikhJarrah
This Mother’s Day, we remember the late Rifqa Al-Kurd, 103-year-old Palestinian Grandmother from #SheikhJarrah, who resisted her home being evicted by Israeli settlers for over 10 years. She paved the way of resistance for the movement behind #SaveSheikhJarrah today.
This Mother’s Day, we are thinking of the Mother of Saeed Odeh, 16-year-old Palestinian boy who was shot and killed by Zionist forces 4 days ago. May all our Mothers of Martyrs receive their due justice.
April marks the start of what is known as the 1936 Great Revolt in Palestine, a national uprising led by Palestinians against the colonial admin of the British Mandate + the expansion of the Zionist colonial project in Palestine
For three years, Palestinians struggled against this using various forms of resistance.
What started off as a general strike on April 19, quickly spread to all major Palestinian cities, affecting all business, communications, and government services.
National committees (incl Arab Higher Committe) emerged to lead resistance resulting in:
• Jaffa port workers shutting down Jaffa harbor
• Haifa port workers following suit
• Palestinian Railway + The Drivers & Owners Association workers going on strike, halting all transp.
