I wish that NASCAR wasn’t racing at the same exact time as F1 and was running immediately after the F1 race instead so they wouldn’t be competing for viewers and instead picking up more fans after NASCAR related segments on the F1 broadcast.
You are absolutely correct that the ship has sailed because there should be a plan to work together and not see each series as competitors from the start. It’s not like F1 races in the US every week.
The most noticable factor that I’ve seen is that there was a decent amount of coverage about NASCAR in the F1 pre-race broadcast and of course stuff like the Danny Ric drive but it seems like there is almost ban on NASCAR people talking F1.
As I’ve said in the past when talking to fans, we’re all in the same boat when it comes to motorsports and should look at each other as allies and try to help fans from different series discover new racing but it seems like somebody’s feelings needed to be protected.
That would be optimal. Imagine the F1 pre-race segment on Bubba culminating with an interview with him on the F1 grid. All of those people watching getting to hear his perspective and be exposed to what NASCAR is about.
When I mention fans above, this is the mindset that I am trying to battle. Different fanbases shouldn’t look down on others like this.
I've spoken of the various approaches in the past and what makes one series more visible than others and will try to keep beating the drum of good content and good relations whenever I can just as I shared in this thread yesterday.
I am sure that TV rights have a large impact in all of this but if that's the case then it's best to look at alternate solutions like having an off week if possible but I am also aware that TV dictates a lot of what NASCAR can choose to do.

I know that I'm often seen as a "necessary evil" when it comes to covering races because I don't just share race reports like many of the traditional beat media that cover NASCAR but I cover it on here and in my writing and videos the way I do because I'm passionate about it.
I want others to see what I see when I watch races so they can appreciate is just as much I do.
Some detailed analysis on this topic from someone much better at words than me.

Quick thread on my first visit to @MillbridgeRacin for the @Walkapedia_ Carolina Midget Showdown.
The main parking area was full by the time I got to @MillbridgeRacin so had to enter the back lot which felt like I was going on an adventure.
It was interesting to see the paddock layout and the interactions of the competitors once inside.

This is a good thread about why influencers and celebrities attending racing events is good for the sport and individual racing series.
Lots of good points in that thread. If you're only inviting people from the same crowd then those are the only people that you will reach. Crossing over to other fields helps growth.

I'm planning to head over to @MillbridgeRacin later today to check what the @Walkapedia_ Carolina Midget Showdown is all about.
@MillbridgeRacin @Walkapedia_ I am very new to all of this so maybe someone can point @NAUSECAR in the right direction?
Made it to over to @MillbridgeRacin to check out the @Walkapedia_ Carolina Midget Showdown but have no cell signal and was only able to grab 30 minutes of the wifi so updates might not post until I leave. Image

NASCAR just announced that @DaleJr and @ClintBowyer will test the Next Gen car at Bowman Gray tommorow.

I have requested to attend and will try share some perspectives like I did at the recent Roval test.
Update: @TonyStewart is driving for the test while @DaleJr and @ClintBowyer will be driving it later in the day for broadcast knowledge.
The Bowman Gray Next Gen test tommorow is not open to fans but I am sure that there will be plenty of ways for y’all to follow along online.

Pizza can be eaten with a knife and fork. I will often eat Neapolitan pizza that comes uncut with a knife and fork or rip it into pieces if I don’t have a knife.
It is appropriate that I made the above tweet as I was waiting for a pizza.
I also got salad so it was a balanced meal. Image

The exchange between Brundle and the bodyguard for Megan Thee Stallion.
The response from Brundle to the blonde guy in the entourage plus the shrug.
The people in the entourage were a little rude but the celebs don’t owe anything to the broadcaster just for being able to walk the grid.
