NASCAR just announced that @DaleJr and @ClintBowyer will test the Next Gen car at Bowman Gray tommorow.

I have requested to attend and will try share some perspectives like I did at the recent Roval test.

Bowman Gray is almost fully converted back to race track spec this morning after being in football field spec for the recent WSSU Homecoming game.

My guess is that we'll likely see them using one of these Next Gen prototypes with the universal body tomorrow so that it's not specific to any single OEM and because it makes sense timewise since RCR is just down the road from Bowman Gray and can support the car at the test.

My understanding is that Stewart will be the only driver that will be driving for data collection purposes and then that data will likely be shared with all teams and OEMs similar to how they have done in past Next Gen tests with a single driver.

My understanding is that Dale Jr. and Bowyer will be driving it later in the day for purposes of learning the car so they can be knowledgeable for broadcasts next year which is think is an excellent idea.

Quick thread on my first visit to @MillbridgeRacin for the @Walkapedia_ Carolina Midget Showdown.

The main parking area was full by the time I got to @MillbridgeRacin so had to enter the back lot which felt like I was going on an adventure.

It was interesting to see the paddock layout and the interactions of the competitors once inside.

Pizza can be eaten with a knife and fork. I will often eat Neapolitan pizza that comes uncut with a knife and fork or rip it into pieces if I don’t have a knife.

I wish that NASCAR wasn’t racing at the same exact time as F1 and was running immediately after the F1 race instead so they wouldn’t be competing for viewers and instead picking up more fans after NASCAR related segments on the F1 broadcast.

You are absolutely correct that the ship has sailed because there should be a plan to work together and not see each series as competitors from the start. It’s not like F1 races in the US every week.

The most noticable factor that I’ve seen is that there was a decent amount of coverage about NASCAR in the F1 pre-race broadcast and of course stuff like the Danny Ric drive but it seems like there is almost ban on NASCAR people talking F1.
