#IMMENSA

On the question of @UKAS accreditation.

It looks to me as if the 4th August 2021 contract is likely the current one

3.1.6/ Supplier warrants that it maintains UKAS accreditation of facilities…
4.1.2; providesservices in accordance with UKAS accreditation requirements
It also warrants that any subcontractor will be UKAS accredited for the supply of the relevant services (4.4.5)

And the facilities will be operated in accordance with @UKAS standards & they have all the necessary consents laid down by @UKAS (10.1.1)
And it has and shall maintain all nec rights, consents, authorisation, accreditations and licences to supply the Servjces at the Facilities (10.1.9)

The contract is here. Although the original end date is 27 Sept it has a provision that enables a total of 3, 4 week extensions
As I cannot see another Immensa Contract subsequent to this for the provision of these services (albeit there is one for the provision of genomic sequencing services) either they are working under this contract or the new one has yet to be published.

A little curiosity about when Immensa actually got its first contract

The first one on the Gov website is the one to commence on 4th Sept to end 4th March

In section 2.2 it actually refers to services supplied under a Prior Contract
Where is it?
What contract amount?
Dates?
When I checked the Definitions Section for “Prior Agreement”….there is no date.

Immensa was only incorporated at the end of May 2020 with £100 share capital.

So when DID it get its first contract? For what amount?

How? How did they get it?

Someone in the Environment Agency is spelling it out

Water and sewerage company effluent discharges: supply chain failure

There it is. Brexit. On the Government’s own website.

Firm that gave 43,000 false Covid results is not only still processing PCR tests

It is ALSO …drum roll

.. one of its senior member of staff has been seconded to work within the UK Health Security Agency to provide technical advice

WTF⁉️

HOW? WHY? theguardian.com/world/2021/oct…
“UKHSA spokesperson said the staff member had “no involvement whatsoever in any PCR testing commercial matters” and added: “The secondee completed a conflict of interest form when appointed and they were judged suitable for the role.”
Who is connected to who for this 2 bit company to be ADVISING UKHSA on technical matters. DESPITE a massive failure - a scandal - and despite the sister company- Dante Labs- being under investigation by the CMA? 👆

Outrageous to suggest the Lab fiasco (combined with very lax Covid rules courtesy of this Gov) did not negatively impact my town.

People thought the rates were falling. 8.6% positivity end August.

Down to 2.1% in Mid Sept.

🦠18.9% on 18 Sept‼️‼️‼️
Quite apart from returning to school & work thinking they were negative they were mingling in large numbers for over a week at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, spilling into bars & cafés

“I’ve got that stinking cold that’s going around”

Because testing gave false reassurance
Even in the January peak our highest positivity levels were around 11.2%.

But a combo of adequate testing and effective measures pulled that down.

The idea that a negative PCR does not negatively impact infectious conduct is utterly ludicrous

No point in testing at all if so

False Covid test results not cause of surge in south-west England, says No 10 | Coronavirus | The Guardian

Give me a fucking break

I attach positivity levels for Cheltenham

And why did the ⁦@guardian frame it’s headline this RIDICULOUS way
theguardian.com/world/2021/oct…
Before the Immensa SUI
Keep looking at the column on the right . See ⬆️ 6-9-21.

Positivity 7.5%

A week later? 2.3% on 13-09-21. That is a 5.2% drop in 7 days.

Infectious disease both grow and subside exponentially.

0.1%/ 0.2% every day unless you are in lockdown.

They don’t drop like a stone.

@RobertSyms Wow! @RobertSyms

1/ Wales have not submitted any case or death data
2/. It is Monday (..so tends to be low Sunday and Monday…then catch up Tuesday to Friday
3/. It is half term. Testing reduces a lot.
4/. Infectious diseases both grow and subside exponentially.
@RobertSyms 5/. So if cases are “dropping like a stone” that is a sign that there is trouble in the testing world.

It was the first clue there was a problem with testing #Immensa fiasco. @RobertSyms

6/ Positivity levels are increasing 9.8% in England from today’s website.
@RobertSyms However.

I would expect half term, thus reducing human contact in classrooms to reduce the opportunities for Covid to grow. But infections caught towards the end of last week, will likely show up this

Ask your colleague, Alex Chalk, who was maskless in PMQs on Wed @RobertSyms

Do you see, water rate payers?

We pay both the fine & the bonus.

AND get untreated sewage poured into our rivers & seas as well.

Untreated because they can’t get the chemicals to the water companies who need it in a timely manner or sufficient quantity- Lorry driver shortage
Discharged untreated because this Government voted down a provision to prevent it happening.

Hard to think that in 2011 80% of UK bathing waters, both coastal & inland, were rated EXCELLENT under EU clean water directive.

2020: 17.2%

Blinks in Tory Government
So did the problem start before Brexit?
It surely did.

Has it got worse in part due to Brexit?

It surely has & at a time when it needed very sharp improvement to reverse the damage done.

And the Gov was warned about HGV driver shortage & pressures on logistic BEFORE Brexit
