Meanwhile, on the topic of social media giants aiding RW disinformation....checking in on our buddy, Mr. Bold Adversarial Journalist and he is pre-emptively discrediting the Facebook leaks to come b/c 'it's a very obvious scheme'.

I mean, the Wikileaks shit was 'a very obvious scheme' to bring down Hillary Clinton & elect Donald Trump. We learned that from Assange's own words.

The Hunter Biden laptop stuff was 'a very obvious scheme' by Rudy Giuliani and the Trump campaign...but that was good, somehow.
All of that was, 'the documents are authentic(ish), so the motives are irrelevant. You're distracting.' But now, because these highly-documented leaks are seen as 'anti-Republican' (also anti his new sugar daddy Peter Thiel), they must be ignored and discredited.

It's amazing how all of these guys are just full-on, not even slightly veiled, Right Wingers. There was of course no times where Taibbi wrote about the Trump family's audacious, smash-and-grab, corruption. But Hunter's laptop proves that the REAL corrupt family is the Bidens.
BTW, I am a LW journalist and not a Trump supporter.

The thing is, when Glem gets a narrative (in this case, it's a bunch of poor, salt-of-the-earth people who were protesting and then it got a little out of hand and are now being persecuted by Dems), he just doesn't even make an attempt to fit reality into it.

You're the editor of a major political publication. You know that word choices matter. Especially when it comes to headlines. "Missing in action" is clearly a negative connotation to everyone reading, especially when juxtaposed with a 'bad' thing he seemingly should be handling.
Wow, where would anyone get the idea that this was framed with a negative connotation? I mean, Sam clearly meant as a positive.
