Sadly, I can’t compare @SenatorSinema’ antics to the excellence of a Black woman in the Senate because:

🗣 THERE AREN’T ANY BW IN THE SENATE‼️
All the care and flair she puts into her curated appearance every single day yet when scheduled to preside over the Senate of the United States of America @SenatorSinema chooses to wear this?!

It’s not about fashion or taste, it’s about the solemnity of the moment. #Sheesh!
It shows a lack of respect for the position she holds and for the Arizonians who placed her there. @SenatorSinema represents THEM. And she chooses to show up in their name like this?!

Then Senator now @VP #KamalaHarris would NEVER.
The MIGHTY former Senator #CarolMoseleyBraun would have NEVER!
I’d continue this list of Black Women Senators #WouldNever but with Harris & Braun, I’ve completed my list of Black women who have EVER been a U.S. Senator.

In fact, only 11 Black people have EVER served in the 232 year history of the U.S. Senate.

So those 2 & just 9 Black men.
Clutching your pearls and thinking, “is that TRUE? How could that BE?!”

Know what’s wack?

Every time a Democrat is elected President, it comes after some Republican yahoo has ran up the deficit, started a war or FULLY spearheaded the rebirth of racism & white supremacy via a four letter cult.

1/
The Democratic President gets in & gets right to work. They get as many laws passed—the kind that actually help people!—that disgruntled Republicans allow & work to fix the economy.

They are judged, ridiculed & doubted every step of the way — even by some fellow Democrats.

2/
Democratic Presidents are never allowed to truly set an agenda & get busy implementing it on day 1 because they always have to clean up the 💩show from the previous GOP Administration.

Think about it. Do a deep dive if you must.

Okay Californians, this is an emergency! I’ve been out of the loop on the recall of @GavinNewsom but just heard that there’s only TWO questions on the recall ballot.

1) Should Gavin be recalled

&

2) Who should replace him, if he is.
If more than 50% of the voters say @GavinNewsom SHOULD be recalled, he will be — IMMEDIATELY.

If you’re a Democrat and that doesn’t scare ya, this will:

Whichever Republican gets name-checked the most for question two BECOMES CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR.
If you think what’s happening in Florida and Texas is scary, imagine what a Republican Governor could do in California.

#LarryElder and #CaitlynJenner are running. All it takes is for 50% of the voters to think it’d be funny to cite for one of them and we are toast!

I am running for President of LA local of @sagaftra because I don’t believe divisiveness, lies & pettiness help US get things done. We’ve seen that mess play out in DC the last five years. It’s poison.. We are all on the SAME side. Campaign clean or not at all. #Sheesh #U4S
Further, taking jabs at someone who isn’t even running sounds like sour grapes from a past loss.

Celebrate your new quest to lead. Talk about the changes YOU want to bring.

I don’t have beef with anyone. ❤️ I think we all want what’s best for actors because we are ALL actors.

As you all know, I am in Ireland & unable to come back home until August. My brother & I were just told that my mom’s building would not extend grace & allow us to continue to pay for her apt. thru Aug. when I’m back & can save him from having to remove her belongings on his own.
My brother held vigil by my mom’s bedside 12 hours a day while she was in the hospital. And held up cell using FaceTime for me for 12 more so I could see her face as we both held vigil when she was dying.

He has done ENOUGH on his own. 💔
I want to be there for my brother .
The person I just talked to — a woman named Blanca — refused to discuss the issue with me at all and told me her attorney would be handling it.

I asked, “Why is an attorney involved when it comes to dealing with grieving family members asking for kindness and grace?”

Folks think money and fame are the answer when both are vapor.

Add to that the constant scrutiny, ridicule and judgment that folks think should just be accepted as being a part of being “known” in some way and you’ve got a toxic stew of eventual pain.

Humans hurt.
All of them.
I think folks think that there’s some magical invincibility shield handed out at the “Congrats, you’re now famous!” Orientation.

Or that money in the bank magically makes the trials of life float away like a dewy mist.

Would be cool. But it ain’t so.

Everybody hurts.
When those who you think have it all speak up about their pain the kind thing to do is to listen.

And then learn the lesson that what you see on social media is often a lie.

A lot of folks ain’t balling out of control and living their best life no matter what their IG shows.
