As you all know, I am in Ireland & unable to come back home until August. My brother & I were just told that my mom’s building would not extend grace & allow us to continue to pay for her apt. thru Aug. when I’m back & can save him from having to remove her belongings on his own.
My brother held vigil by my mom’s bedside 12 hours a day while she was in the hospital. And held up cell using FaceTime for me for 12 more so I could see her face as we both held vigil when she was dying.

He has done ENOUGH on his own. 💔
I want to be there for my brother .
The person I just talked to — a woman named Blanca — refused to discuss the issue with me at all and told me her attorney would be handling it.

I asked, “Why is an attorney involved when it comes to dealing with grieving family members asking for kindness and grace?”
This is where I will add again that we were asking to be allowed to PAY her rent for two months to allow me time to get back home.

We didn’t ask for a handout.

We just wanted to continue paying for the apartment for an additional two months.

It was a request for #grace.
I asked for the attorney’s number hoping I could appeal to his basic human decency.

Blanca said she could not give me the attorney’s #.

As a legal secretary, I know that’s a lie. If she’s turned our request for kindness into a legal issue SHE should be radio silent, not him.
And now here we are, a motherless child in the midst of grieving — who’s trying to spare her brother further pain — asking if what the #ValleyVillageSeniorApartmentHomes managed by @WNPMLiving is doing is right.

It doesn’t feel right. But that may just be the grief talking.
If you or your loved one would like to live somewhere where after you pass away they treat your grieving children like trash, check out:

They’ll leave the light on for ya! 👍🏾😃

Y’know until you NEED them to.
One more thing, when I first got on the phone w/ #Blanca at #ValleyVillageSeniorApartmentHomes & told her that I was #MamaFran’s daughter — a tenant of their Bldg for 7 years who she KNEW had passed — she not only didn’t lead w/ condolences.

She NEVER offered them. @WNPMLiving

Folks think money and fame are the answer when both are vapor.

Add to that the constant scrutiny, ridicule and judgment that folks think should just be accepted as being a part of being “known” in some way and you’ve got a toxic stew of eventual pain.

Humans hurt.
All of them.
I think folks think that there’s some magical invincibility shield handed out at the “Congrats, you’re now famous!” Orientation.

Or that money in the bank magically makes the trials of life float away like a dewy mist.

Would be cool. But it ain’t so.

Everybody hurts.
When those who you think have it all speak up about their pain the kind thing to do is to listen.

And then learn the lesson that what you see on social media is often a lie.

A lot of folks ain’t balling out of control and living their best life no matter what their IG shows.

Here’s some perspective for us all:

Had #DonaldTrump NOT incited a murderous, seditious riot on 1/6, today he would be an impeached ex “president” golfing on our dime in Florida.

Essentially an afterthought to a nation fighting a pandemic that his incompetence made worse.
His incitement of a murderous, seditious riot on his way out the door has not changed his place in American History. He has further sullied his own disgusting name and caused even more suffering & death as his last act as “President” but his place in history is unchanged.
The name #DonaldTrump will forever be tied to incompetence, cruelty, sexual assault, white supremacist racism, crime and mass suffering & death. He’s earned that. His rancid seed will carry the stain — they’ve earned that too.

But we, the people, will move on. Guys, We HAVE to.

Isn’t it interesting that every time the Senate is asked to do THEIR constitutional duty of convicting & removing a criminal “president” they kick the can and the responsibility down the road to others.

To the voters in Impeachment #1.

Now to the criminal courts.
A few things to remember:

1) The first impeachment was about Tang breaking the law to keep Biden from being elected.

2) The second impeachment was about Tang breaking the law to keep Biden from being declared the winner of our fraud-free election.
This is one long crime with the same goal — trying to hold on to the reigns of power the White House affords, by any means necessary.

The second attempt to hold on resulted in hundreds injured and seven deaths.

And #DonaldTrump caused it all.

FYI: If you test negative for #Covid, you are only negative until you encounter & catch Covid... which could happen the nanosecond AFTER you test negative.

If you tested negative and think that means you can’t CATCH or PASS on #TheRona over the holiday (with nana) you are WRONG.
I heard a dude — who’s now positive — say that he thought he was good after his negative test 2 WEEKS AGO because “the negative lasts for 14 days.”

No.

Tests are not vaccines or cures. They are screening/diagnostic devices that tell you if you’ve got #Covid in👏🏾that👏🏾moment👏🏾.
If you leave a testing site and go have a “safe 🥴 socially-distanced-brunch” w/ a friend who has asymptomatic, undiagnosed #Covid & you both take off your masks to eat & talk & laugh, guess what?

🗣+🦠💦 = YOU 🦠positive & on a plane home, CONFIDENT that you’re negative.

I don’t normally disagree with @FrankFigliuzzi1 but today, I must.

It has ALWAYS been about white supremacy.

None of the previous white, male, homegrown terrorists have been just troubled souls.

They are not little lost boys or lone wolves.

They are radicalized terrorists.
This narrative that being troubled or poor is an excuse for murder or criminality is only extended to white men.

Black boys playing on playgrounds like #TamirRice are gunned down at 12.

Double murderers like #KyleRittenhouse are called heroes at 17.

#Nope #NopittyNope
I am not coming for @FrankFigliuzzi1. He’s a good dude. I like him.

But this skewed narrative that white supremacy and the mayhem, chaos and sadly death it causes being something just a few misguided lone wolves live by is not true or fair to their MANY victims.

Good question.

Taxpayers pay for his trips, by the way. YOUR tax dollars are NOT being used to provide #COVID relief, but they ARE paying for @realDonaldTrump’s golf trips (to HIS clubs) AND for @jaredKushner to sell state secrets &/or launder money in foreign countries. MAGA👌🏻
