The @IFPI_org, which claims to represent the worldwide recording industry is getting super-aggressive about policing audio, especially TikTok clips shared on Twitter.
Graeme Grant, the IFPI's Director of Content Protection & Enforcement sends a letter to Twitter pointing out a Tweet with a copyrighted song (provided by TikTok, which may soon face similar issues) and demanding its removal. Twitter's response is: zap the video + lock the account
So far, I've been hit with three of these notices (Twitter helpfully sends Grant's original complaint with each one). They unlock the account as soon as I click through a few screens apparently confessing my sin.
Want the original “Alien” Nostromo ship? This auction has the most insane collection of movie and TV props I have ever seen propstore.com/entertainment-…
It even has one of Peter Capaldi’s Doctor Who sonic screwdrivers
