My theory is that white folks try to tattletale to the media employers of black folks (like Matty Yce tried it on me last week) on the theory that the white people in charge honestly don't know what the Negroes are running around saying.
The reality that these people don't understand is that there is not a black person *employed* by in white media who doesn't have the support of the majority of white folks who read that publication.
Cause we're not allowed to have our jobs any other way.

It's not enough for anybody from me or @AngryBlackLady to @AdamSerwer or @jelani9 to have *only* Black people read us. We *have to* appeal to a DIVERSE audience or we don't get our jobs.

A lot of white folks in media don't get that... because it's TOTALLY OKAY for Matty or Andy or Bari to have 98% white audience and Tim Scott. Nobody even expects, much less *requires*, these folks to have "crossover" "diverse" appeal. They can write in and to their echo chamber.
So, tattle on people like me if you must, but know there is not *a* tweet or *an* article I write that doesn't get support from a RAINBOW COALITION of people, whereas when you look at the white authors most likely to complain, their "likes" look like a damn blizzard.
And when I have something to say that I really don't think 90% of white people will understand... well I sho nuff don't say it HERE. I'm not an idiot.
