There *is* no equivalent among Democrats, but we need to build one in a hurry if America is gonna survive.

And by “radical action” I mean things like:
*split up California into a zillion small, reliably blue states to control the Senate for decades to come;
*expand SCOTUS before the conservative majority destroys our chance to deal with climate change;

* pass laws making it illegal for candidates and officeholders to claim an election was stolen or *will* be stolen, unless they can prove it in court, w/real penalties attached (this is the most narrowly targeted way to prevent a J6 redux, & the Constitution’s not a suicide pact)
* pass voting rights reform
* pass legislation ensuring that the bodies that count and certify the votes DO count and certify them fairly and have NO wiggle room to arbitrarily throw them out while crying “fraud” (which the GOP is barreling towards)

* pass significant climate change action in the little tiny window we’ve got left to do that
There is almost no constituency for any of these things, which is why I’m describing them as “radical.” There are lots of other things we SHOULD do that are more popular, but not radical

Yet even those things can’t really get done without a MUCH more energized, frightened, and radicalized Democratic base.
The voters HAVE to realize what an existential threat the current GOP is to our way of life, our freedom, and *everything* we want our future lives to be.

And the only way that’s gonna happen is concerted, disciplined messaging from elected officials that gets in the news on the regular.
