Getting your first 1k followers is the most difficult milestone

There're many courses preaching about ways to do it, but if you don't do the core basics, your growth will be slow or hollow

Get there the right way and you'll see traction leading to more and more growth

1. Know Your Target Audience

Try to attract every type of person and you'll attract no one

You need:
•a niche
•a problem you solve
•a reason people come to your account

If you've no idea who your target audience is, write to your past self - You've many lesson to teach

2. Optimize your bio

You have 7 seconds to make a good impression on potential followers

✅ High quality profile picture
✅ A banner that's attractive and states what you do
✅ Bio that explains in detail or gives authority
✅ Call to action (e.g. DM me, link to product)

3. Adopt a creator's mindset

You are no longer a consumer. You are a creator.

The time you spend on twitter is to create. Stop scrolling aimlessly on the timeline.

Your task is to use twitter as a tool, don't let it use you

4. Curate your consumption

You will need to draw inspiration from elsewhere on twitter

Only consume quality

Brainstorm and help each other out

12. DM people

The best things on twitter are what you don't see on timelines

Get social and DM people

•compliment their work
•offer advice and help
•make friends
•be genuine

13. Undo retweets after 24 hours

People come on your page to see your content. Not for retweets

New followers will likely scroll down your page. You want to keep them on it

Keep your page clean

14. Retweet your tweets within 24 hours

The first 24 hours are the best time for your tweets

Every few hours after posting, retweet it

Your tweet will show on the timeline to people who didn't see it the first time

15. Shoutouts

Too much and it looks spammy

Not enough and you aren't using an awesome growth technique

Don't shoutout accounts 10x ahead of you. Shoutout accounts smaller or about your size

Tell the people ahead of time. Get them to retweet

Under 1k, one or two threads a week is plenty

Tuesday - Friday Morning EST is best time for USA

Make sure you get your network to help with its reach

17. Create Balance

Many new twitter creators get burnt out
