The most intelligent people in the world are gathering in one place...

Twitter.

Don't believe me? Read on...🧵
Financial education is severely lacking in this world.

@10kdiver is working to change that.

I enjoyed this piece on Markov Chains & the role luck plays in our lives.

Teaser: It includes a poll question that 87% of respondents got wrong!
Earlier this week, @ShaanVP dropped a hot take on his view of what the Metaverse is and what it's not.

The validity of his opinions will surely be debated, but he makes us think, and IMO that's what matters.
NFT's seem to be all the rage currently (and for good reason IMO)...

However, as with anything new, the terminology surrounding them can bit a bit confusing.

@magdalenakala has a running NFT glossary that breaks it down nicely.

Check it out.
The media tends to highlight the negative in all aspects of life.

Take athletes...

I've seen "Broke." The 30 for 30 episode documenting financial ruin in professional sports.

I'd rather see one on athletes making a difference in this world.
There are plenty of Twitter threads out there on how to be successful in business.

For me, @RomeenSheth writes some of the best.

His most recent piece detailing how to get non-typical results by choosing a non-traditional path is gold.
Everyone wants to make better choices.

Here, @anafabrega11 details how we can make better decisions even when the outcomes are uncertain.

Also, if you believe education needs a refresh, Ana is on the forefront of this movement.
Speaking of education...

My friend @wes_kao is building something special.

Her perspectives on the future of online education, and learning in general, are not to be missed.
What @businessbarista & his team have done over the last year is crazy.

•2X Subscribers
•2.5X Revenue

It's easy to see why.

On his "Founder's Journal" pod, Alex consistently provides insights to help you get better at biz, finance, & life in general.
.@polina_marinova shares interviews and stories from many of the most interesting people in the world.

Her substack, The Profile, is a consistently great read.

Check out this excerpt from a recent interview with @JamesClear.

It's outstanding.
"The notion that you should know what you want to do with your life by the time you graduate college is one of the greatest lies you've been told."

This sentence from @SahilBloom hit home for me.

20 years after college, I'm still figuring things out.
Thanks for reading!

Google Sheets isn't Excel...

But it's more powerful than you think.

8 things Google Sheets can do, you'll wish you knew yesterday. 📊
Translate Text:

Need to convert data from one language to another?

Enter:
=GOOGLETRANSLATE("A2","en","es")

This will translate the words in cell "A2" from English to Spanish.

Replace "en" with "auto" and Sheets will identify the source language automatically.
Timesavers:

Assuming you're signed in to your Google account, head on up to your browser's address bar:

From there type: "sheet.new"

Boom! A new Google sheet is created for you on the fly from anywhere on the web.

(Works for docs too)

Pretty cool!

Success isn't a mistake.

8 steps to build the life you want. 🧵
Clock In:

It's time to go to work.

There are no magic bullets & "get-rich-quick" doesn't exist in the real world.

Immerse yourself in learning, have a bias toward action, be willing to do what others won't.

Do this & you won't need to look for results, they'll find you.
Work from the top down:

The fastest way to get from where you are to where you want to be?

Find someone who's already there.

Learn from them, seek advice, & follow the path they've forged.

Reach out.

People are more willing to help than you think.

15 of the smartest things ever said: 🧵
“We are what we repeatedly do, Excellence is therefore not an act but a habit." –Aristotle
"Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end.

It's not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; it's a day you've had everything to do and you've done it."

–Margaret Thatcher

The average adult makes 35,000 choices every day.

You're going to be wrong, a lot.

8 steps to be right more often. 🧵
Is this life-altering?

Our perception of the importance of any choice is often skewed by time.

In the moment, even the smallest decisions can seem like they are "mission critical" in our minds.

Pause.

Don't sweat the small stuff.

Give each decision the attention it deserves.
Analyze possible outcomes.

•What happens if you make this choice?

•What definitely won't happen?

•What if you do the exact opposite?

Understanding the most likely outcome of making (or not making) a decision allows the decision itself to become easier to grapple with.

2/ @HTTOTW

@BenWilsonTweets provides thorough breakdowns of the greatest leaders in world history that are quite frankly some of the best I've ever heard.

My only complaint is that there aren't more episodes.

Do yourself a favor and listen.

Life is short.

Let's share some positivity.

How to be a better person -> Today 🧵
Be helpful:

Open a door, carry a bag, lend a hand.

It doesn't take much.

Small gestures of kindness bestowed upon others have a compounding effect.

Take 10 seconds -> change someone's day.
Lend an ear:

Listening is a lost art.

Sometimes people don't want you to solve their problems, they just want someone to talk to.

We all need to vent from time to time.

Quit trying to "fix it" and just listen.
