@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal Calories are a flawed metric. The protein count from small 'bulk' is actually good. As for farming land, there is HUGE difference between crop land & livestock because the latter RANGE ie share land with biodiversity. So look at each of these. Serbia, it is most evident: the
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal world's oldest known use of wool garments, at least 7k yrs ago, and still the highest inventory bears wolves bats etc in Europe; that extends through Balkans & Turkey, high sheep numbers (44 mill latter) & high forest (36% Serbia 57% some areas N Turkey). So no deforestation
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal to speak of over considerable millenia yet livestock farming economic/cultural base. Then similarly we know pastoral herders active Kenya 5k yrs ago. Elephant pop robust all that time, yet now threatened by AVOCADOS. Then you have much livestock lands NOT SUITABLE for crops at
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal scale, be they mountain, desert steppe. So Mongolia/Kazak & Namibia egs given steppe & desert. So livestock based culture/economy yet Mongolia & Kazak borders highest wolf pop in world, and Namibia highest cheetah pop & rising. By contrast, Serbia's north has become industrial
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal crop land, and note the bear & wolf absence now. So probably good that Naimbia & Mongolia/Kazak not suitable for crops! Anyway not all land is the same so global inventory of land use is STUPID multi levels. So even Texas for eg which if you have ever seen
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal a western movie you'll know cattle range across huge areas much scrub, semi arid down near Mexico, & grassland, not suitable for crops & that grassland home to fabulous biodiversity so again just as well. So eg look how Kansas no 1 crop state USA cougar are extinct, while Texas
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal have healthy population. Grasslands home also to black footed ferrets & pronghorn, etc rare elsewhere due to loss of grasslands esp to crops. And before you say crops are for cattle feed well actually that's not exactly true: they
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal eat the waste which is considerable. THINK of the cost of popcorn v livestock feed then consider what cattle are actually being fed on feedlots, which incidentally they are on at the last month or two only of their lives generally. The feed is the WASTE of corn; the primary
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal motivation is popcorn corn on cob canned sweetcorn and biofuel. They eat the WASTE husks or inferior product generally. This too applies to most crop feed as outlined by the FAO study last year. So how about Brazil? Is it their cattle the problem?
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal NO. 90% of their cattle are existing pasture fed, and while historically there was deforestation in the 1970s, not so much now. Cattle go in to level & fertilize areas after clearance that will be crops - so misleading
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal to claim otherwise etc: its land speculation usually for crops, & logging initially.
BUT soya for feed is a problem, but it is WHO is buying that feed is what the problem ACTUALLY is. It is China , whose industrialization
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal has come at VAST loss of THEIR OWN grasslands (equiv of area size of rural Wales annually) and crop lands. And for WHAT? Another kind of Amazon are among the MANY global corporates who have become immensely wealthy & powerful through this mass production of tat that before 40 yrs
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal ago we did not need, come at enormous loss of China's ag lands so it has to import the soya for feed for high rise pigs. Look at that chart I cited earlier it's NOT for cattle & sheep pets eat as much. But it also comes at cost of
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal MASSIVE emissions, both inbuilt obsoletion tech and synthetic clothing in particular, requiring constant production consumption, and USING FOSSIL FUELS at that. What is shocking, is that scientists and media should KNOW this even if you don't, so seriously WTF is going on that
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal this hasn't been highlighted as the entire cause of the problems? Well, it's because of who FUNDS the science. So take Wellcome for eg, and look at their portfolio. Chinese JD, Ali Baba, & Amazon among the highest stocks, and Wellcome
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal being among most active pushers of plant based diets, providing a scapegoat not just for their mass tat & inbuilt obs consumer tech investments, but also FOSSIL FUEL and CORPORATE FOOD, as well as they being one biggest arable farmers UK. So this begins
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal to enter the world of farce were it not so serious and with them ties to deep state, communist China & global governance (Farrar eg head Wellcome in with Gates re CEPI pushing Covid lockdowns also favoured those online businesses). They in association with Sainsbury embarked on
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal this massive 'science' funding several years ago, entirely profit driven: what you think fossil fuel industry, mass corporate consumer tat, and global corporate food suddenly driven by ETHICS? They funded EATLancet which is a JOKE & other pseudoscientific institutional push. Then
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal of course there's #BILLGATES. Whose greed & megalomaniac control agendas are evident, massive influence in academia media & politics, and again ethics have NOTHING to do with what he's up to.

Then there are other players in the WEF attempt to
@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal impose Global Corporatist control (Corporatism being economic governance basis of Fascism) such as Grantham and YARA. More about those and others in here; as well as belief based allies like Ripple etc

@bartharris @m1ssberyl @Demonriceball2 @Evsthetractor @B19913229 @luxoriaaa @unarose7 @BigIssue @RebelsAnimal Sorry that vid is from a ranch in Saskatchewan but similar Texas grasslands re the pronghorn on ranches

@Evsthetractor @JohnG_UK @BioMickWatson @a_cois @fleroy1974 @_HannahRitchie Poore is a JOKE. He's a vegan, so ideologically biased as are you & only have to look at his consideration of water to make anyone with a brain cringe. UK produces more than entire So Cal capability alternatives in a ARID state whereas Wales eg more rain in a month than a yr
@Evsthetractor @JohnG_UK @BioMickWatson @a_cois @fleroy1974 @_HannahRitchie there in terms of milk, and its real so more nutritious and multitude co produce like leather. So eg pr synth shoes lasts 6 months =35kg emissions, leather shoes last 20yrs min, 100kg inc lifetime repairs. So 20 yrs the vegan produces 1.3 tonnes MORE emissions. Now
@Evsthetractor @JohnG_UK @BioMickWatson @a_cois @fleroy1974 @_HannahRitchie multiply by billions. And that synth crap feeds NOBODY & becomes mammoth landfill problem. Here's my leather coat 75 yrs old still going strong, dairy leather. And I have riding boots like this 100 yrs old still good. Then there's the palm or rapeseed oil req for fake milk: where

Course it is. What is more, people don't realise to take these jobs means moving away from home, for CASUAL labour, to areas expensive to take accommodation or if provided very Spartan. It's always been a job for students & migrant youngsters, Roma community etc traditionally &
there used to be other perks on offer eg Irish kids could ride work for racehorse trainers, Roma had family selling goods & services, horses etc; students had shared accom or immigrants partners engaged in permanent jobs in rural communities. These things don't gel any more as
industrial monocrop farms are not as engaged in traditional rural communities as such. So Helga isn't the barmaid with shared flat with her ag labourer bf, Nobody wants the Roma saddle repairer or weather vane maker, and the student buses aren't laid on from the colleges. So

Again easily observed. Ruminants disturb cover for small fauna, so eg you get stoats & weasels, birds prey, curlew where grazing animals. Also prevent choking of land dense scrub which can impact amphibians in dunes, choke with bracken (also fire risk), & soil poverty
Question is
HOW, when farmers etc who have been saying such for the last few years, get IGNORED on favour of a frankly beserk plan to oust livestock in favour of trees, for WEF idea of carbon offsetting for the damage they cause ie a land grab paying academics to spout shite?
And of course journalists who don't know their arse from their elbow when it comes to eco systems and agriculture etc, and have been engaged in corrupt fairy tale science ?

@sentientism @Evsthetractor @phineashead @FarmingUK @theRABDF @UniofOxford @oxmartinschool @oxfutureoffood @ScienceMagazine @UNFCCC @HHarwatt Veganism= ideology; fantasy one since crops also kill animals and indeed more by destroying habitat.
People who consume animal products= default diet for humanity. And land used is shared doesn't req pesticides, and is extensive because they move from pasture to pasture; &
@sentientism @Evsthetractor @phineashead @FarmingUK @theRABDF @UniofOxford @oxmartinschool @oxfutureoffood @ScienceMagazine @UNFCCC @HHarwatt that Kenya avocados v pastoral peoples a classic example; the herders there for 5k years alongside elephants but they won't a few years of survive avocados. I covered it all in this thread, as well as pointing out livestock are NOT just about FOOD, so
threadreaderapp.com/thread/1387378…
@sentientism @Evsthetractor @phineashead @FarmingUK @theRABDF @UniofOxford @oxmartinschool @oxfutureoffood @ScienceMagazine @UNFCCC @HHarwatt also have to take in to account land & resources us eg Aral sea cotton = 24 species gone in 2 decades PLUS a food source for people & wildlife in just 2 decades. Contrast with wool, Serbia eg oldest known sophisticated use 7k millenia ago. Also the land loss in
China eg for

@GusPark11 @tomhfh You aren't arguing with anti vaxxers: lazy strawman label. You're engaged with those who don't approve mandatory vax, authoritarian shit that wrecked millions livelihoods, & those questioning efficacy THIS vaccine. Now this should NOT be happening: read
@GusPark11 @tomhfh that whole thread. Scientific claims need to be tested by observation & repeatable to be valid, and clearly something is VERY wrong. I have an idea it's likely to be (given Poland & London hit badly last yr Israel rest UK not so much) a level of herd immunity as kicked in. And
@GusPark11 @tomhfh that seems to be true most places that not seeing big spikes atm, rather than vaccine take up. Now, sure, % in a 'pandemic' matter. BUT, what also matters is collateral damage of draconian policy,& for what? So, here are % risks. Average age death is 80 with co morbities. Now

@bleuciel1967 @LisaMarieBoothe There is no consensus this is a myth.
Furthermore, it is dissenters that create new scientific discoveries, not those going with consensus anyway.
Plus, science can be
1. Influenced by ideology & money CEPI , Imperial eg funded by Gates & Wellcome obvious cui bono benefits from Image
@bleuciel1967 @LisaMarieBoothe lockdowns & vaccines. Eg Wellcome conflicts interest; & they also engaged last 6 yrs in funding utter pseudoscience re 'food systems' to demonize livestock (eg widely criticized EATLancet) & divert attention own fossil fuel & corp/arable food interests
@bleuciel1967 @LisaMarieBoothe Then there's Gates, Similarly. This just scratches the surface of his web of influence & again engaged in blatant pseudoscience fraudulent accounting re meat
