1) November 5 🧵for BBB & BIF. Nice overview on the lay of the land this morning.

FT- Rep. Ron Kind says the issue among moderates is whether they’re prepared to vote for the bill, saying it’s “more of a scoring issue right now.” Kind said Pelosi is trying to make sure “people are in a comfortable spot.”

Kind says he plans to vote for it.
4) FT - SCHRADER just told us that there’s no resolution to the moderates demands.
5) A) From colleague Liz Friden: Rep. Ron Kind (D-WI) says it is “more of a scoring issue right now.” Says he discussed CBO score among other things in ongoing meeting Pelosi is having with dems in her office.
6) Well, this could slow down any votes on BBB and BIF in the House, if the moderates stick to their guns on requiring a CBO score before voting on BBB !
7) FT - Dems need most if not all of these “others” if they’re going to pass their bill & only have a 3 vote turning radius.
FT - There are concerns about the cost of the bill, the CBO score – which won’t be available for weeks – and changes in the prescription drug language.
8) Today reminds me of the travails of Charlie Brown.
9) FT - UNDER DISCUSSION: Voting on the rule for debate for the BBB today and then delaying passage until later.

Dems would be able to claim progress here, and continue to work out concerns.

21) FT - Rep. Jared Huffman, a member of the progressive caucus, told me he is a “hard no” over Pelosi’s new plan to separate the infrastructure bill from the $1.9 trillion bill.

Huffman said that he is in “dismay” at strategy.
22) Turning out to be another bad day at the office, for the Democrats House Leadership. And it also appears, no matter what they say publicly, Progressives won’t vote on BIF as a stand-alone bill first….unless BBB is finalized and be voted upon afterwards.

Trust issues remain.
23) But note, the votes haven’t been pulled yet today by House Leadership. Rep. Khanna wants to bluff of the 6 holdout Mods.

Estimates: Penn National earnings per share were seen dropping 20% to 64 cents, but sales were set to gain 34% to $1.51 billion.
Results: Penn earnings per share declined 44% vs. a year earlier. Revenue came in at $1.51 billion.

Penn down 21.57% at $57.04 (-$15.69).
