as the general twitter topic is satanism, demonica, after that concert, i have an interesting note i made along the way in my studies i think it is important to keep in mind with normal people. i have not looked into the details of that situation as i am still on diapercation ...

thats diaper occupation vacation, which like all great art, is taking longer than expected. although my desk is re-set up now. anyway, there is a paradox in most peoples relationship to such things that i slowly pinned down after operating in many spiritual spheres over the years

that being, most people, if they arent actively atheist (dont forget the default spiritual system is new age now. u didnt forget, did u) have a simultaneous fascination with AND a totally flippant disregard for, what we might call, demonica, dark power stuff, [etc]. examples:

a while ago you may remember that randonautica thing. not sure if that was the name but there was some app where you were meant to set a word as your intention, it would give you GPS coordinates, and people going there experienced very strange seemingly significant encounters.

and it caused a little bit of a stir along the lines of, woah, how did it know to send us here? so i looked into it, and watched a few peoples videos and experiences. most people were feeding in something that was overtly bad. death. murder. fear. things like that.

so you have to ask yourself, why would that be your starting point. i even watched one video where a girl set her intention as the devil. if you were actually testing to see if the thing worked, why start there. wouldnt you start with something safe like.. car? dog? anything else

but thats not how most people engage with that stuff. likewise IRL you have the same thing happen. if youre a serious person engaging with divination stuff (a slight paradox, maybe, i was on drugs at the time) there are certain guidelines for what you ask or start with.

obviously you, who read my posts online (hello, thank you, i hope things are going well for you) will not do this as you know to is unwise, but if you have even a pendulum or something like that, and you ask it something, youre supposed to start with an innocuous question.

youre specifically not supposed to ask it something like “will i die tomorrow” or “is there a demon here”, because thats how people get roped into crazy situations and stuff. well, guess what, that is like, 7 or 8 times out of ten the first type of question people ask usually.

so, the point is, you kind of have to keep that in mind when such imagery and ideas erupt into the popular consciousness, because its counter intuitive. it doesnt actually make sense paired together but, most people dont have a fully fleshed our cohesive worldview.

youre usually dealing with people who on the one hand, have some innate fascination with, lets say, demonica, but who also have a totally flippant and cavalier attitude towards taking it seriously in any way. thats a pretty bad pairing, if you think about it.

but thats how it is. i mention this because, like i said, it took me a while to pin that down because those two things dont actually go together. theyre paradoxical but thats just how it is, which explains a lot of peoples seemingly odd reaction to and engagement with such things

theyll make contradictory statements about it, or do things that dont match their purported beliefs. even the “church of satan” group is like this in a way (i know they name search, hello). their avatar and logo which i will not post, is that goats head in a pentagram.

with the hebrew letters around it. if you ask them, they say theyre just atheists. but the people and individuals who designed and implemented that emblem werent atheists. they werent part of the belief system that the church of satan would describe themselves as, at all.

so on the surface it makes no sense. you have this group that’s like “we’re just atheists, satan is just a symbol”, making the symbol of their organization something made by and part of a system that is totally oppositional to them and what theyre doing. cant square that circle.

it would be like if an anti catholic group used an image of a saint or something as their logo. its even more backwards than that actually, but thats the relationship most people have to this stuff. they dont take it seriously, AND theyre drawn to it, + they, sadly, dont know why
