You have a great idea

You write it, post it, and....

...nothing

It's not the idea that sucks, it's how you tweet it

15 Methods to 10x your Tweet Engagement
>>>Thread 🧵<<<
1. Use Spacing

You're not here to write an essay

You're here to grab attention

Spacing creates breaks and makes it easier to catch the reader’s attention

Spacing vs no spacing👇
2. Use short words and sentences

The less syllables per word the better

Use hemingwayapp.com to help you see what is too wordy

Use a thesaurus and dictionary to find a different word that fits better

Less syllables take less time to read - keep the readers engaged
3. Use 1 idea per tweet

A stand alone tweet sticks to 1 idea

In a thread, each tweet sticks to 1 idea

If you have another idea, put it on another part of the thread

BONUS TIP: Retweet parts of your thread every hour the day you post - get more eyes on your thread
4. Use structures that work

There's a science and an art to writing great tweets

The science is using structures that work
The art is making the structures your own

101 ways is full of winning structures.

5. Stick to your niche

A random tweet might go viral but a tweet in your niche will bring you more followers.

If you post consistent content people know why they are coming to you.

You can go off niche a bit to show you're human, but keep it less than your main content.
6. Add an image/meme

You can create free memes on imgflip.com/memegenerator or canva.com

Pictures or memes can be used to expand the message in your tweet.

This recent tweet is an example of what I mean
Tip:
Stuck for meme ideas? Check out @MemeCodeMoney page for inspiration.

Memes are the most powerful persuasion tool if used correctly.

If you are good at making memes, you can make decent money making memes for other accounts (similar to ghost writing on twitter)
7. Ask questions in your niche

People love to talk about themselves

Give them the chance to be a part of it

The algorithm also loves people engaging with your tweets

But don't stop there...
8. Use your followers replies as content

Your audience is telling you what they are interested in.

It's free market research - Use those interests and make tweets/threads from it.
9. Time your tweets

Most Twitter users:
73 million US
55.55 million Japanese
22.1 million Indian
17.55 million UK

Decide your target audience

Best US times: 7-12am CST 6-10pmCST

Find your optimum time for engagement - keep tweaking to figure it out
10. Comment on other people's tweet

Not only do comments give your brand exposure

It's a great way to find inspiration and practice writing tweets both in and out of your niche.

If you write a comment that gets lots of engagement, save it and repurpose it for a tweet later.
11. Use Twitter's advance search options

e.g. Choose an account you like and type

(@account name) min_faves: 300 (for likes)
(@account name) min_replies: 20
(@account name) min_retweets:50

Use desktop twitter for more options

Rewrite winning tweets to your style
12. Strategize your content

Analyze what type of tweets increase
•engagement
•follower count
•comments
•RTs

Use this knowledge and plan your tweet schedule around your tweeting goals.
13. Edit, edit, edit some more

If a tweet performed well, see how you could optimize it and reuse the idea later.

If you know it's a great idea but the tweet flopped:
•try a different emotion
•try a different structure
•add a picture

@BlackDogAlchemy has a great example
14. Get a second opinion

We are all victims to a limited view.

Network with people and have someone you share ideas with.

When you are writing an important thread or tweet, get them to check over it.

You might see a new angle you never thought of before.
15. Be personable

People don't go on twitter to read academic or offical document writing.

They're here to read things that talk to them
•avoid jargon
•keep it simple
•change 'me' for 'you'
•use language your target audience uses

Talk to them. Grab their attention.

This is about me

It put my soul into this, so before moving on, I'd greatly appreciate if you go back to the first tweet and retweet it

Let's get into it
I was born with rough beginnings....

I was a late birth, and I came out with a crushed skull...

At 9 months, I couldn't hold my own head up or crawl...

Luckily for me, a specialist separated my overlapping plates making my skull an almost normal shape

An acne ridden face does more than make you feel ugly

99% of Acne Creams DON’T WORK

A natural remedy DOES

I struggled with acne problems for years until I figured it out...

//Thread//
My Struggle:

Since I was 9, I've had acne

I was never a 'cool' kid, and acne made me feel very self conscious

People staring at them while talking to you. 'Cool' kids pointing them out. Whispers while you walk passed.

Every time in the mirror, noticing another red one...
This got worse as I got into my teens...

I tried OTC acne creams and had the same problem no matter which one I used:

1st - my face dried up, less inflammation
2nd - my face got more oily
3rd - more inflammation
4th - more anxiety

And try again

My Nan was my life idol

So full of life until the very end

She taught me how to live life to the full

Here are some sayings she would always say, the stories that are connected to them and what she meant by them

This one was hard to write

//Thread//
1. "People are people"

Story: During WW2, my nan was sent to the countryside. A German prisoner killed a snake and said "I save you"

He was meant to be the enemy, but showed kindness

Lesson: No matter a person's background, how they treat and act is what matters
2. "It's not what you know, it's who you know"

Story: Wherever Nan frequently shopped from, she would always get to know the manager or boss

She bypassed a lot of problems and got great deals

Lesson: Knowing the right person will give you better options and access
