Its birth anniversary of Onake Obbava ji,
Lets know about her in this short thread.
Onake Obavva Ji was an freedom fighter who fought the forces of Hyder Ali single handedly with a pestle in the kingdom of Chitradurga of Karnataka.

Her husband was a guard of a watchtower in the rocky fort of Chitradurga in the state of Karnataka,she is celebrated along with Abbakka Rani, Keladi Chennamma and Kittur Chennamma, as the foremost women warriors and patriots.

During the reign of Madakari Nayaka, the city of Chitradurga was besieged by the troops of Hyder Ali (1754-1779). A chance sighting of a man entering the Chitradurga fort through a hole in the rocks led to a plan by Hyder Ali to send his soldiers through that hole.

On this day direct firing done by @incindia on saints who were protesting for Anti cow slaughter bill.
Sources tell approx 375-400 saints were ki lled in this direct firing.
Soft on congress journalists tell these numbers are 9-10.

This protest was led by swami Rameshwaranand,
The gathering was in lakhs,
The only intention was to declare cow slaughter ban in entire India as this is clearly mention in Indian constitution article number 48.
But that time prime Minister did not agree on it.

Now in 12 states or UT has the Anti cow slaughter law,
Sikkim was the first state in India which banned cow slaughter.
Sikkim,UP,UK,Delhi,punjab,J&K,Gujrat,Haryana,MP,CG are the states/UT where cow slaughter is prohibited.
