It's not a mere coincidence that anti-Brahmin movements of the late 19th century and 20th century never happened in the history of Hindus and India before the arrival of White Christian colonialism.

If Brahmins were really that evil as portrayed by Padres and their colonial narrative then it should have happened many times before too. But there is no proof of any such anti-Brahmin sentiments among middle and lower castes other than Manastarang of Padre taught as fact.

So what did change with the advent of White Christian colonialism in mid 18th century? The only thing that I can see is that a section of Brahmins going in the service of this White Christian colonial master and becoming the face of the alien rule at the local level.

And here kicks in the diagnosis of Sri Sitaram Goel about this colluding class.

"Over a period of time, they had come to think and behave like the conquerors and to look down upon their own people."

And it's this that became the seed for the anti-Brahmin movement.

If you think I am imagining the abv stuff, here is a brief summary of the Anti-Brahmin Dravidian movement of TN ie what it was about.
At one time 80-85% of British admin was made up of Tambrahams.

IMO, the same process continued in the Cow-Belt post-1947 with Brahmins gaining political/state power from Thakurs and the blowback in the form of Mandal. A legacy of it is the Brahmin-Thakur rivalry which you see today and Congress using it to damage BJP with Trads as tool.

The short summary is that Middle castes that had lost political space to Brahmin (via British and Congress) were reacting to the loss and trying to restore the previous situation.

Also, it's a fact that the political space occupied by middle castes all over India was some kind of sharing arrangement with the first wave of colonialism in the form of Muslim invaders ie wo koi doodh ke dhule nahin the.

But one question remains unanswered. Why do these anti-Brahmin movements ( in reality against anglicized Brahmins) always take refuge in an anti-Sanatan-Brahmin ideology such as some variant of Protestant Padreism or Buddhism?

Why can't they carry out their anti-Brahminism without resorting to anti-Sanatan-Hinduism?

The answer lies in the "colonized Brahmin class" becoming the leader of the whole Brahmin community and selectively interpreting Hindu religion and Scriptures to suit their agenda like this guy.

They got so powerful with rise of Nehru that they have a Shankaracharya at their disposal (with two peeths under his control and made attempts to capture the 3rd one) to peddle their political agenda behind the garb of Vedic Karmakanda and Shashtragyan.

Lol!! Doesn't matter. Using Hindu Shastra and Hindu Dharma to enslave and exploit Hindu society as a whole is the template exclusive to Double-D Brahmin. No other caste/Varna has that privilege.For example, a Kshatriya can use his sword, not Shashtra. 1/2

You can't give independent credit to Lalu and Mulayam for Sekoolarism. It's like a patent and its licensing fee. Nehru Ji and his descendants will always get a share.

The same Colonial Anglicized Brahmin class (represented by Nehru) reared Naxal, Dalit, and Ashraf private armies to keep Hindus in check lest they revolt.
So it doesn't matter which caste a person comes from.
