When our ancestors returned from war they said "Lest we Forget & Never Again".
Never had humanity and life been more linked.
Never was victory more important.
May we live up to their vow: Peace on earth.

No greater sacrifice #WeWillRememberThem
#LestWeForget the contributions of the #Commonwealth.
Victory would not have been possible without the Men & Women who volunteered and came to fight for King Emperor & the Mother Country.

Proud that among them, in WW1 (1.5Million)
& in WW2 (2.5Million) Asians came to 🇬🇧's aid.
51 VC medals were awarded in WW1 & WW2 to soldiers who came from the Indian Subcontinent.
Below (L-R) Mir Dast VC, Shahamad Khan VC, Khudadad Khan VC & Naik Nand Singh VC.
Just 4 examples of soldiers who earned the highest military honour, FOR VALOUR in the presence or the ememy.
Of course there were also many GC recipients. Among them,
(HH Princess) Noor-un-Nisa Inayat Khan, a direct decendant of the Tiger of Mysore, Tipu Sultan.
In 1940 she volunteered for the WomensAuxAirForce.
The Princess turned spy in occupied France for Churchill's Special Ops Exec
(L-R) Noor was awarded the
Croix De Guerre along with
Madeleine Zoe Damerment,
Yolande Elsa Maria Beekman &
Éliane Sophie Plewman.

The 4 resistance members were caught seperately by the Gestapo, but were executed together by the SS at Dachau concentration camp,
13th Sept 1944.
It is an honour that the (King's) Indian army remains the single largest volunteer army ever assembled in History.
Tens of thousands were amongst the hundreds of thousands, killed and wounded of the commonwealth forces.

It shouldn't be.
It shouldn't be needed.
But the powers that be and their attack dogs are determined to treat us as second class, to discriminate, to violate & to twist the rights afforded to us by law.
It's now necessary for us to organise democratic opposition to these attacks.

The double standards are blindingly obvious and they come from the top down.
The mainstream parties have been complicit in this, so we can't rely on them to uphold our rights or to treat us fairly.
So, like you, we have elected democratic opposition (be they Muslim or not) as MPs
We will continue to shun the mainstream parties until they remember that we have rights too.
We will continue to elect independent MPs to speak truth in the halls of Power, so that when Officials mean to violate us, it is not done with such ease or without being called out.

Where this is concerned, YOU may as well live in Timbuktu as you're not affected.

Residents living just outside of LTNs Are affected and the outcomes of the review show why they should've been engaged so to get a better picture. Image
@2wheelsgoodBrum Your approach is indicative of everything that's wrong with LTNs and hw idealist zealots went about imposing them without wide public support.
It is yet another case of a vocal minority doing everything in their power to discredit/devalue all impacted persons, to deny their say.
@2wheelsgoodBrum You'll never allow urself to understand or care abt hw these schemes negatively impact so many lives and their ability to go about their day. All u care abt is ur view, the view of an avid cyclist.
To hell with all those who can't meet their needs and responsibilities by bicycle.

@LutfurRahmanTH The JR was brought by the (now proven) vocal minority.
The most privileged and affluent in our borough who talked down to us for 2 yrs until we shut them up with a thumping election result. But they couldn't stand it and had a whip round for a JR to delay the inevitable...
@LutfurRahmanTH Why didn't the residents campaign (against Labour’s imposition of LTNs) do a JR?
The ballot box is our court.
The emphatic democratic mandate was the unmistakable verdict.
The majority of TH residents are hampered by lack of access to financial means and ability to go to court.
@LutfurRahmanTH The vocal minority campaign in favour of the LTN schemes gleefully acted when it knew it was bein favourd by the then administration. They didn't care abt the blatantly rigged "consultations" or the level of opposition at one council meeting after another, petition after petition

1/3 It's no secret that I think @TH_Labour got it massively wrong with their so-called liveable streets.
I'm glad candidates answered these questions..some answers were bland, some deluded while others were more candid...

@MayorJohnBiggs is tryin to hv his cake n eat it too.
The greens demonstrated hw out of touch they are.
@elliottwvr was the most candid and I commend him too, for pointing out some hard truths for the cycle lobby..

 It's important to note that @Andrewwood17's streets & transport section of his manifesto is 90% in line with the resident group's alternative proposal to @TH_Labour's so-called Liveable streets, while @LutfurRahmanTH @AspireParty have endorsed that proposal in full....

#TowerHamlets #LabourParty promised 2,000 NEW homes.
In 7 yrs, they managed only 10%. Meanwhile #Labour allowed for public land (inc. greenspace) to be gobbled up by private developers building thousands of overpriced shoeboxes.
Look also to what they did to @TrevesAndLister.
At least 20 Labour cllrs have had shocking performance indicators in terms of their public engagement, number of members inquiries they've initiated, value of return on investment when "Special Responsibility" xpenses are considered + the number of committees/ boards they sit on.
One cllr has been such a no show in 4 years, her ward residents believed they didn't have a cllr. Granted she had a year off for maternity but her group clearly didn't fill in for her. Furthermore, her "Special Responsibility to Young people" has not been good value for money.
