D+I voters > Republicans. Not everything is about converting Republicans. I think strategy based on that idea is a waste of time and resources. I think motivating Democratic and Dem-leaning voters is more important.

Activating D + lean D voters will pick up disaffected Republicans better (bandwagon effect) than pandering to conservative Republicans who don’t support liberal things plus that will turn off a good amount of D voters
This idea that “it won’t work to convince republicans” is such an ingrained thing with liberals I think some of you don’t even realize how often you invoke it.
